This relatively shallow dive site in Playa del Carmen that is covered in brain coral and is therefore named Cerebros (“brains” in Spanish). It is a sloping dive site with low current and visibility remaining constant at 50ft/15m. There are large pinnacles of coral that spring from the sand almost to the surface and are covered in fish. The pinnacles create a dramatic swim through or two. Keep a look out for the illustrious scorpion fish resting on the bottom.
