A beautiful destination ready to be explored by you! The Chikin Ha Cenote dive is located about 25 km south of Playa del Carmen, just past Puerto Aventuras. Within the park, you can find three cenotes : Xtabay, Chikin Ha and Rainbow. The park also offers zip lining and all 3 cenotes are great for snorkeling. Being so close to Playa del Carmen and Tulum, this is truly the perfect place for families and groups that have non divers, so everyone can have enormous amounts of fun.
The cenote has a large, half-moon shape with a large sloping ceiling and crystal clear water. The cavern dive will take you through great white limestone tunnels to Rainbow Cenote. Once you reach a depth of 30ft/10m you will see an amazing halocline, where you can see the separation of fresh and saltwater. You can do two 40-50 minute dives on two different lines here, each providing a little bit of a different experience in one beautiful place. Always keep an eye towards the entrance for the spectacular light effects on sunny days. You can even see the wonderful jungle landscape while you are underwater! The park also offers traditional Mayan purification ceremonies, so sometimes you can see a Mayan ceremony taking place near Cenote Rainbow and smell incense in the air.
Before the dive you will be given a thorough safety briefing, including the different regulations involved for diving in an overhead environment and using dive lights for communication. There is a guideline which we must follow at all times, and you will always remain within the natural light zone. This means that you should always be able to see sunlight during the dive. There is not enough light in the cenotes for the use of a GoPro, but please be sure to let us know if you are planning on bringing a camera as this changes the way we talk about dive safety.
The Chikin Ha cenote dives are included in the Taste of the Riviera Maya Package and is great for beginners. If you are looking for a little more adventure, take a look at the dives at The Pit and Dos Ojos!

I had a great experience with the entire team at BlueLife. I did 4 reef dives (2 at Playa and 2 at Cozumel) with Valentina, 2 cenote dives with Hugo, and also did the whale shark snorkeling up in Isla Mujeres. Everyone was very professional, prepared, thorough, and communicated very clearly about all aspects of the activities. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a great experience from beginning to end!

Friendly and professional Dive Operator in Playa Del Carmen I booked a couple of days diving in the cenotes around Playa del Carmen and Tulum and I was not disappointed! The staff is very professional and the dive guides fully trained, they speak perfect english and always made us feel at ease in the water as well as outside. The whole experience was a real pleasure, diving underground can be stressful but our guide (Valentina) knew exactly where to take us and where to stop for a nice snack too. I also booked a whale shark snorkelling trip via BlueLife and was again very very happy, even if the day was not managed directly by BlueLife.

Phenomenal Dive Shop This dive shop was by far the best shop I have dived with. I spent a week with this shop snorkeling with whale sharks, getting sidemount certified, and cavern/cave diving various cenotes. This was an an awesome experience. Recent taste of Riviera Maya My wife and I just came back from our vacation to Riviera Maya just few days ago. And just like last time, we decided to go on a diving with Blue Life this year. Last time, I got my open water certificate and this year, we went full 3 day taste of Riviera Maya. First two reef dives were great way to start diving. Leo was our guide, and us two and other couple went diving in a group. We were lucky to see two turtles and one big and one small moray eels. Not to mention various fishes and reefs. Leo did superb job on guiding and helping us on refreshing our diving skills. Second Cozumel dives were just beautiful as expected. Valentina was our guide, and we saw so many turtles, nursing sharks, giant stingray, giant lobster and crabs and most colorful reefs we ever saw. Now we feel very spoiled and not sure any other future diving would meet our expectation. Valentina pretty much took care of us from shop to Cozumel and back 100%. She also knew where to look for interesting marine life. Lastly, Hugo took us to Chikin-Ha for cenote diving. We did not expect the dive to be a cavern/cave diving where flash lights were essential. It was scary but very exciting experience. We dived from one opening to other through large underwater caves. We felt very safe with Hugo, and was very very interesting experience. We gotta thank all three awesome guides, Leo, Valentina and Hugo. They were very professional and kind. Not to mention, Andrea helped us with arrangement through countless emails. We do not know when, but when we go back to Riviera Maya, we will definitely go diving with Bluelife again.

Great divecenter, even better guides! We had 10 dives with these guys, including Cozumel sites, a bullshark dive, and 6 different cenotes. All of them were perfect, and our guides and contact persons were professional, yet friendly and very flexible. We thank Leo, Misa, Hugo and Pepe for the good time and dives we had. The center is at a good location, close to the sea, it has good wifi, and nitrox and 15l tanks are complementary We had some rescheduling because the wind made the sea too wavey for diving, but we had constant updates from bluelife. They don\'t do the bullshark feeding, so we decided to do this with a different divecenter and I do recommend the feeding if you are a shark enthusiast. Other than that, they are a perfect choice for all types of diving

Best Dive Family in Mexico! I am a 17 year old diver and on my trip with Blue Life, I was getting my Nitrox and Side-Mount certifications. Before we even made it to Mexico, Blue Life was beyond helpful with my education and my online work. They worked easily and efficiently to help me get all my paperwork arranged, and when I showed up at the shop they gave me a warm welcome like I had already dove with them before. Their dive sites were beyond beautiful. My first dives were in the cenotes (my first freshwater dives!) and Hugo was amazingly patient and caring as I struggled with Side-Mount. When my goggles wouldn\'t clear underwater, he gave me his. And when I mentioned how much I wanted a shark dive, they arranged it so I could go on one the next day! Every member of the Blue Life staff is amazing, friendly, and welcoming. The best scuba operator in Riviera Maya I\'ve been diving with Blue Life for the past 3 years and I keep booking with them every time I visit Riviera Maya. Hugo, the advanced cave diving instructor, is the main reason I keep diving with them exclusively, his knowledge and confidence diving cenotes translates in a great confidence doing what is cataloged as one of the most dangerous activities. The staff is great, they\'ve always been amazingly helpful and my dives have always been a pleasure. Honestly, there\'s nothing but good things I can say about the shop and I keep recommending it to anyone I know is traveling to Mexico (In fact, I\'m planning on organizing a trip to Playa with my diving group and doing the full cave certification myself). One thing I missed at the shop is a store with a variety of essentials to purchase (like fins and masks), but John (the owner) told me he is thinking about having some stock. There are probably over one hundred scuba operators in Playa del Carmen but Blue Life always delivers and over achieves.

Incredible Chikin-Ha Cenote dive with Vale! From beginning to end our experience with Blue Life was amazing. I was emailing back and forth with Andrea for 2 weeks prior to our dive, she responded super quick and was easy to book with. We arrived at Blue Life for our dive and found out we were the only 2 on the dive thay day- bonus! We dove at Chikin Ha Cenote, about 20 min drive from Playa. My boyfriend and I have about 40 dives between us, so we\'re not extremely experienced and we were super dry on our equipment setup. Vale assisted us but had us setup everything- which was great. Often the company does it all for you, and I prefer to do it myself to refresh my memory and know where everything is. The dive itself was exquisite! Fresh water is incredible to dive in, the caves were breathtaking. We were super comfortable in Vale\'s hands and liked a lot that she used my elbow to guide me when I struggled with getting more horizontal during the tighter areas. The halocline (where the fresh and salt water mix) was beautiful and was the highlight of the cavern! Overall our experience with Blue Life was amazing and I would definitely book with thema again on another cenote dive. Ideally, we\'d do one of the more advanced ones. Prior to the dive I was slightly deterred by the price differentials between the cenotes compared with other companies but after our experience compared to other dive experiences I have, I\'d happily pay more to dive with Blue Life again!

Excellent Crew, Amazing Experience My husband and I did the Taste of the Riviera package where we did a Playa del Carmen, Cenote, and Cozumel dives. All dives and dive masters were excellent. We saw 1000s of fish, an eagle ray, lobsters, barracudas, eels, and we even did the bull shark dive. If you are visiting in the winter months, I highly recommend the bull shark dive. It was an experience I will never forget. Our guide, Laslo made us feel comfortable and taught us a lot about the sharks that live there. Frank and Yesika were both so kind and I will definitely dive with their shop when I come back to Mexico.

Wonderful scuba diving and great facility! My family had a great time scuba diving with Blue Life! Top notch facility, kind and patient instructors, and Frank (the owner) was great at communicating with me, starting with scheduling our open water course and providing us with great directions and instructions on what to bring, where to park, etc. Our assigned instructor, Leo, was great! Took the time to answer our questions, and told funny stories during our instruction. The dives themselves were great--a cenote, off the beach at Playa del Carmen, and Cozumel for the last day. We saw tons of sea life--barracudas, king crabs, turtles, moray eels, seahorses, and a GIANT eagle ray. Leo took the time to point out these animals to us, which really enhanced the experience. Everyone on the boat (captain, assistants, as well as the Blue Life instructors) was friendly, kind, and distracted us from our seasickness. A great experience--one we hope to repeat soon!

Awesome experience Last year, my wife and I visited Riviera Maya. While we were there, we really wanted go for diving. Since Blue Life had superb reviews, I contacted and Fernanda helped me with arrangement. While were there, I decided to get my open water certificate, and while doing so my wife took the refresher course. Hugo took care of my wife and I as he was superb instructor with patience. He was also able to give us a shuttle service to rather far hotel that we were staying. We ended up going two ocean dives and one cenote dive. We were planned for three ocean dives, but due to severe weather, after waiting out a day Blue Life suggested and took us to a Cenote diving next day. Whole experience was superb and will definitely recommend to everyone. I know I am leaving a super late review as I was too busy with life. Me and my wife is planning to visit Riviera Maya next month and remembered that I forgot to post a promised review. If I can I will definitely contact Blue Life again. Only happy memories.

Great dives! We booked two days of diving with Blue Life. Day One was a two tank dive off a small boat. We were able to lock up all of our belongings at the dive shop and then make the short walk down to the beach where the boat was waiting for us. After our two tank dive, we walked back to the shop and were able to leave our gear there as we were going to be diving the next day with them. Sara was professional and extremely helpful. The next day we arrived, with 8 additional last minute snorkelers that they were able to accommodate, and headed out to do a two tank dive in the cenotes at Chikin Ha. Absolutely beautiful! Our guide, Hugo, led us through amazing fresh water caves from one cenote to the next. He was also professional, helpful, and went above and beyond to help our group out. It was a truly memorable day. This dive company has everything divers would want and need. I highly recommend Blue Life Diving.

Rock-star Cenote Dive with Hugo! It was our first Cenotes dive experience and it was nothing short of amazing! It was just my husband, Hugo and myself for the two tank dive. We just showed up the day before and the staff gave us a huge hug and helped us book the dives within 5 min! Very go with the flow and made us feel very comfortable and safe. Simply the best What can I say? I\'ve travelled and done all my dives with my boyfriend but I was solo on this trip. A little nervous. But blue life and my dive guide Rimas were beyond exceptional in making the dive absolutely amazing. So comforting so knowledgable and patient and sooooo passionate... I wouldn\'t go to any other dive shop in playa at all!!! Don\'t hesitate to dive with this dive shop you\'ll regret it.... Best Cenote diving experience! Friendly & Professional Service We booked a cenotes scuba dive trip with Blue Life ahead of time, and from the very start we received very professional and friendly support from the Blue Life team. Marcela communicated with us via email to coordinate every detail of our trip, including transportation since we were staying in Tulum, so that we were ready to go when we arrived. There were four divers in our group, and we felt like we received very attentive and personalized service from Blue Life - we were able to dive the cenotes as our own group with Hugo, our cavern dive master. We had a fantastic time diving with him! He is a wonderful, professional, and very experienced friendly guide. He made us feel comfortable 100% of the time, especially important diving in the cenotes\' cavern zone since we had zero prior experience doing so. Excellent scuba cert & additional dives We selected this company due to the great reviews on TripAdvisor, followed by their excellent and responsive email communication, and we are very happy we worked with them. We had 2 people doing PADI open water certification on referral, and 1 person already certified. Each day we had a different guide - Sarah, Fernanda, Andrea, and Matthais (might be spelled wrong). All were highly knowledgeable, provided great instruction, were attentive to safety, and hit the perfect balance between competence and relaxed. All are bilingual English-Spanish, and Matthais speaks Flemish and French as well - I suspect the team can cover many language needs. The guides are all personable, friendly, and were a pleasure to spend time with. We put ourselves in their hands to select dive sites based on the weather and conditions. Since the winds and weather can shift, I recommend this. A few days in advance, we were instructed where to meet and at what time, based on whether we were taking the ferry to Cozumel, getting on a boat near the shop, or driving to a cenote. We did the first day of our PADI open water dives in Casa Cenote, which is a nice mostly-open cenote. Sarah set us up carefully and made sure all the equipment was in good shape, and reminded us how to set it all up properly and do safety checks. She was very attentive to our comfort levels as we worked through the various skills, and also ensured our 3rd diver was doing well. The second day we went to Cozumel with Fernanda. We met her at the ferry, and then took a taxi to the harbor where they had arranged a dive boat. The dive boat captain and crew were great - very competent and attentive, and Fernanda was also an excellent instructor. Cozumel is beautiful - the reef is in great condition. We saw nurse sharks and many fish. The third day we went to Chiken Ha with Andrea. This is a cavern cenote, and it was quite amazing. Andrea is clearly a highly skilled cave diver and her attention to safety and making sure we were doing ok with with compression was great. And, the empanadas they sell at this site are delicious - just what we needed after the dive. The last day we hit a couple of sites off the shore of Playa del Carmen with Matthais (Fernanda was also on the boat, guiding another couple using Nitrox). Again, the captain and crew were excellent, and the dives were beautiful. We rented a GoPro from them for the last 2 days, and they have already uploaded all the files to my DropBox. Without a doubt we will return to BlueLife. Now that we are Open Water certified, we can\'t wait to return and dive with them again.

Cenote Diving A friend and I wanted to dive cenotes. I am a professional diver and have been in the industry for a while, so I was looking for a good service. Blue Life provided that, and then some. Hugo and Valentina took care of us like royalty. On time pick up, great attitude, snacks, all gear in great shape, and they definitely knew what they were doing. Having experienced many dive companies, including those I worked for, this is one to recommend. If you are going to Playa del Carmen/Tulum and want to have a great time diving cenotes, give these guys a call.

Great small diving store I used this store in a couple of cenote dives earlier this year, and also got certified in Nitrox with them. My experience was very good. Dive and Whale Shark Experienc We had a great experience with Blue Life. They weren\'t the recommended dive shop from our resort but I\'m sometime leary of who they recommend. I found Blue Life as part of searching for a SDI dive shop in Playa Del Carmen with good reviews. I think they are the only one. The staff was very helpful in accommodating our schedule which was in a constant state of flux. We were looking for a referral dive as well as some good beginner dives for some newly certified divers. They also encouraged us to dive a cenote which was a great recommendation and a must see. We brought most of our equipment, but utilized their regulators which were new and in good shape. The dive master was very professional, courteous and was very helpful with equipment and information about the dive sites. He also connected well with my teenage sons who were new to diving. They also coordinated our snorkeling trip with whale sharks. Our transportation and guide at the dock made what could be a chaotic situation very smooth and streamlined. It was an incredible experience to swim with these giants. I can\'t emphasize enough that the best part of the experience was Fernanda who was always quick to respond to requests, questions and changes in our schedule. She exhibited great concierge service for us at all times which exceeded my expectations.

Safe and Fun Diving We did six cenote dives in two days with Hugo, and it was a fantastic experience. I would definitely recommend Blue Life Diving. You get a personalized experience, and the staff are great to work with. Fernanda is great to communicate with in advance of your trip and help with anything you need. She is quite friendly. Hugo picked us up at our hotel and took us to the cenotes. At each site, he went over the map of the cenote and our planned dive. He gave us backup lights to keep in our BCD\'s since we just had one each. Each dive and each cenote was fun and different. If you are advanced certified, on of my favorites was El Pit. After our dive at El Pit, Hugo asked if we wanted to look at the Pet Cemetery cenote. Because it is lit by artificial light, you need to be cave certified, but he took us inside to see the cavern, and it is really beautiful. Hugo didn\'t need to take us to Pet Cemetery and other shops might now, but it was nice he went out of his way to show us since we were in the area. Lunch was included in our trip. Lunch is probably sandwiches they pick up along the way because it\'s good to take with you, but we love tacos So Hugo took us to taco places that had amazing food. Because our Spanish is minimal, Hugo would tell us what was in each dish. He would order for us, and it was perfect quick eats between dives. Some of the best tacos we had on the trip. On the second day, there was a couple that was having a hard time communicating at the restaurant. Hugo went to the counter and helped communicate with the random couple to help them get tacos as well. Hugo\'s English is fantastic if you aren\'t great at Spanish like me. He has really interesting stories about his experience diving and living in the Yucatan. If you dive with him, I encourage you to ask him about his cave diving experience. He adheres to cavern/cave restrictions completely, and this ensures that you are safe on every dive. I prefer to break the rules most of the time, but cavern/cave restrictions are in place because people have been seriously injured. This is a really good shop that cares about your experience. I recommend asking for Hugo.

Fantastic Diving. Wonderful Staff. This shop is situated on the \"mellow\" edge of town, away from the fray of Playa del Carmen\'s main strip, 10th Avenue. If cenote diving is your thing, or if you\'d like to add such an experience to a log book (as I did), the crew here provide expert guidance--they are trained cave divers. Our family, with varying degrees of skills, took the plunge with Hugo and Remus, diving Cozumel and the reef off Playa. Hugo conducted open-water certification dives for our 10-year-old, and Fernanda took care of our questions and bookings (and recommended local eateries as well). Rental prices are reasonable and the equipment is in good shape. Highly recommended!

Cave Diving in the Cenotes of Riveria Maya I just returned from a week of diving with the staff at Blue Life Diving. Day one, Vale and I took the ferry to dive in Cozumel. I love diving in Cozumel. The remaining 6 days I went cave diving with Hugo as my guide. We visited a different cave system each day; it was fantastic. Both of the guides were personable, safety conscious and very knowledgable about the area and its dive sites. Last year, I took a two week course in side mount, cavern and cave diving at Blue Life. My Happy Blue Adventures At the end of March, I was back in Playa and I decided to try this dive centre out due to location and Tripadvisor reviews and I was not disappointed. This is a professional and friendly dive shop walking distance from the ocean. My DM Valentina (ocean) and Simon (cenotes) were fantastic (!!!) and the Office Manager Fernanda promptly responded to all my inquiries. I even added a last minute snorkel trip with my boyfriend (he doesn\'t dive) to the cenotes and had a great time with our driver/guide Suzy. Three awesome days of diving We scheduled our dive trip with Blue Life a few weeks before arriving in Playa so that my son could finish his open water certification. For our first day of diving we met up at the shop around 8am and met the crew. I had primarily dealt with Fernanda while booking, she was awesome and answered all my questions. Then we met Rimas, he was the instructor that we worked with on all of our dives. He completed my sons open water requirements and guided us around the reefs. I cannot say how awesome and patient he was with my son, though he says that patience was not needed. On the fist day, we dove at Playa, walked with our gear from the shop and met the boat at the beach a block away. On day 2 we upgraded the dive to go to Akumal to see if we could find some sea turtles. We did see a few on our dives. We lucked out and had 2 perfectly calm days in a row! A couple of days later I decided we wanted to try a Cenote and they were able to get us in. Again Rimas was fantastic and did a great job of picking the spots and letting us enjoy our dives. My son and I had a great time as well. I will certainly look them up again next time I am looking to dive in the Playa del Carmen area.

Super 3 days Just returned from 3 days diving with my 14 year old son and the crew at Blue Life. They did an outstanding job, and the 3 days were varied (Playa, Cozumel and Cenotes) and terrific fun. bucket list cenote diving After a week of drift diving Cozumel, added a few days in Cancun with plans to do a couple of cenote dives. Well, expectations were exceeded, our DM, Simon, was our DM, very safety concious & experienced. An \"other worldly\" experience, glad we had a serious DM, would not have wanted to do 1st cenote diving with a company or DM with less experience, if open water diving can kill you, cenote diving can do it 4x as easy. Would definately go back. My 130 dives are not big time, but have enough to know a quality, customer service driven dive company when I experience 1. Fernanda, the shop & dive coordinator, was very prompt @ answering all my pre-trip questions, like she wanted us to join them, what a concdept.

Perfect! Blue Life was complete perfection from beginning to end! Fernanda assisted me from afar as I planned a three day dive trip for my son 19 (who was nearly finished with his PADI certification) and myself who hadn\'t been diving in 23 years. She stayed in touch regularly with me and responded to my multiple questions quickly and completely. I felt very comfortable heading in to this trip knowing that she was in charge of us. Upon our arrival to Playa del Carmen the weather forecast was windy for our dive days but Fernanda quickly dealt with it by steering us to the dives that would be safe and would best suit our desires as well as get us diving. Since we could not dive directly from Playa del Carmen due to the waves, she suggested a ferry trip to Cozumel for our first day and linked us with Sarah whom we befriended immediately. Sarah was awesome! She was organized, professional, calm and friendly as she lead our team of divers and instructed my son on his last check out dive for certification. We were able to make two dives on that first day and with visibility at 100+ feet we saw spectacular aquatic life including a moray eel out in full, a spotted sting ray, a sea turtle, so many different beautiful fish and corals. The entire time Sarah was checking on our comfort and helping both my son and I with our skills. The second day was still windy so both Sarah and Fernanda suggested that we try the cenotes which are exclusive to this area in Mexico. Knowing that I was less than confident in low visibility and close quarters, Sarah drove us to Casa Cenote the most open of the cenotes. This type of diving offered us an opportunity that I am forever thankful for. For our second dive that day Sarah packed up all of our gear (something she did with every dive which made my experience a breeze!) and drove us to Jardin de Eden centote where, by choice, I decided to snorkel while my son who was confident and capable by then enjoyed another spectacular dive. By the third day of diving my son went on his own with another dive master who was equally qualified and they did a two tank dive in more advanced centotes which my son took video of and cannot stop talking about! Six dives in three days, all thoroughly organized and orchestrated flawlessly; each amazing and diverse! The entire experience made for a trip of a lifetime for my son and I. I cannot thank Fernanda, Sarah and the entire Blue Life team enough for this experience. I recommend anyone traveling to this part of Mexico to book snorkeling or diving trips with this trustworthy group of professionals!

Awesome experience! I began my adventure with the people at Blue Life Diving by completing my Open water certification off the shores of Playa del Carmen. As a novice diver although excited about my next step I was very nervous. That didn\'t last long as Sarah, my instructor made me feel completely at ease and under her direction my dives went so smoothly. Better than I could have expected. Spectacular Service, Excellent Diving I had the pleasure of diving with the great people at Blue Life and I couldn\'t be happier. While there\'s an abundance of dive operators in Playa I can\'t imagine that many can match the level of personalized care and attention that I experienced with Blue Life. The entire staff seemed fully engaged and mainly interested in my safety and ensuring the dives were tailored to my skill level and my interests. I did a six dive package. Each was unique and fun but the cenotes are by far the most unusual environment I\'ve been in to date. A surreal and incredible experience. Diving was spectacular I did my open-dive sessions for certification with Sarah at Blue Life and the experience was excellent. Sarah is a true professional who puts the client\'s interest/skills first. We did two dives in Playa, two off of Cozumel and two in nearby cenotes, and each was a great experience. Blue Life made it so easy by providing all the equipment, snacks and great sandwiches. Amazing diving and snorkeling!!! We are 60-somethings who have just returned from a 2 1/2 week exploration of the Yucatan. We are so happy that Blue Life was a part of that adventure! The staff is professional, personable, smart, safety conscious, and fun! Sarah, Rimas, Fernanda, Simon, Hugo, and Frank are incredibly good at what they do. We felt well cared for every step of the way. My husband completed his open dive portion of his SCUBA certification with Sarah, who is a great teacher. He had a chance to dive off the coast of Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, and also did two cenote dives. I snorkeled with Rimas, first at Dos Ojos (who knew I could be encouraged to enter a bat cave??), then at Casa Cenote and then at Grand Cenote. All three were different and amazing in their own ways. Swimming in an aquarium is delightful, and Grand Cenote has turtles!! We both always felt safe and well instructed. All gear was provided (wet suits are good in cenotes). We had our own prescription masks, but Blue Life provided eveything else ... even towels. All we needed was a change of clothes, some water shoes, and an underwater camera. They even brought along yummy sandwiches and fruit as well as water. After our snorkel at Dos Ojos we had a delicious lunch at Juanita\'s, where we enjoyed some yummy tacos and a sweet potato/ honey amuse bouche. I can\'t say enough about our time with the Blue Lifers ... if you are planning to dive or snorkel in the Yucatan, don\'t look anywhere else!

Amazing diving experience with Blue Life Diving Let me start by saying that Blue Life Diving far exceeded my expectations! My wife and I were staying the Playa del Carmen area for a week vacation and we wanted to do some diving (we\'re both certified divers). We were hoping to dive both on the Mayan side and over at Cozumel. Blue Life had a package that accommodated us being able to do both - perfect! We booked the Ocean Blue package. Fernanda worked her magic making all the arrangements including arranging our transportation for us (it was cheaper through Blue Life than through our hotel). Fernanda did an absolutely superb job keeping us informed where we were going and on which day. She even accommodated my request to sneak in a couple of cenotes dives (which were amazing) above the standard diving package. Our dive masters (we had 3 different dive masters) were absolutely fantastic. Fernanda\'s logistics and customer service was amazing. Our overall experience diving with Blue Life couldn\'t have been better. Personally, I would not hesitant to recommend them to anyone (and in fact, I have recommended them to friends already). Next time I\'m vacationing in the Mayan area, I WILL be diving with Blue Life again! Thanks again Blue Life! I can\'t wait for the next time.

Great dive shop, super friendly staff! My husband and I went to Playa del Carmen for New Year holidays, and our goal was to dive as much as possible. We picked Blue Life because of its good review here on TripAdvisor and we weren\'t disappointed! The staff and instructors were super friendly,and did everything they could to arrange the dives as we wished. We dove two days in Cozumel, one in Playa del Carmen, including the bull shark dive, and Fernanda even arranged three dives at the Cenotes on January 1st, when most dive shops are closed. This time for a movie production \"Cave\" where Frank, Sarah and Fernanda worked as local producers doing all of our logistics in terms of diving, cenotes license, accomodation and getting around. We received great help from Simon and Hugo as safety divers for our actors and they provided all their effort to help out on the shoot. Great Dive Shop that caters to its customers After a less than pleasant experience with another dive shop, my girlfriend and I wandered into this one. Immediately they asked us what we wanted to see and created an itinerary for just that. We signed up to do a dive at Akumal in hopes of seeing some turtles, and then ending the day in a Cenote. The next morning we had 3 additional divers join us. We did our first dive, and while we did not see any turtles, our guide Hugo was awesome. We went to the cenote to finish while the other divers did another turtle dive. They say turtles, but the cenote dive was the coolest dive I have done to date. Utterly breathtaking. Hugo was again very professional and knowledgable.

Hugo and Sarah were top-notch instructors and the whole team was awesome! My boyfriend and I walked over to Blue Life based on the overwhelming number of rave reviews online. We weren\'t disappointed. Fernanda and Sarah were sitting there, chilling after a dive (Sarah\'s hair was still drying), and they were friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and helped us problem-solve to find the best combination of dives for Jeff, who was more experienced, to dive with me, who was still getting my open-water certification. We arranged for 4 dives in two days for my certification, and Jeff did an additional cenote dive with Sarah on the 4th day. Hugo was our guy the first day, and he\'s patient, kind, very knowledgable, and put me at total ease with his wanrth, humor, and experience. I learned a ton from him the first day. We dove off of Playa del Carmen. Day two Sarah was with us. She was amazing- fun to be around, experienced, and very patient with me, who was a little overwhelmed by the sheer amazingness of our Cozumel dive. The first one I made mistakes (lost my weight belt, accidentally inflated vest when trying to deflate, panicked a bit in moments for some reason) and she was with me and corrected me with great patience and skill the first dive, which was eye-poppingly beautiful (Santa Ana Wall), and we were able to have a great time with no blips the second dive. Jeff had an incredible experience with Sarah on day three, and this was his first cenote dive. I would strongly recommend Blue Life to anyone diving in the Playa del Carmen area.

Tailored dive package with great service! Before our trip we corresponded with Courtney and Sarah, both of which were very helpful in creating a dive package that my boyfriend and I wished to do. The diving they recommended in Cozumel was great diving. Our dive guide, Hugo, showed us a great time and ensured our safety. The second day of diving in the cenotes with Hugo was an unbelievable experience for us. Became a better diver with Blue Life I recently spent an amazing week in PDC taking the TDI sidemount and cavern courses and cenote diving with Blue Life. The excellent staff (Frank and Hugo in particular) made the week both unbelievably enjoyable and highly educational. I have been diving with my partner for just over a year and half, and I love it! We booked this diving learncation with Blue Life because we wanted to find out more about diving in the beautiful cenotes of the Yucatan, and there is no higher-rated dive shop in the Mayan Riviera. Frank (the owner), responded to our emails promptly and made sure we were up to the challenge of the TDI sidemount and cavern diving courses. Blue Life also offers guided cavern tours of local cenotes, which don\'t require any extra training, but we wanted the opportunity to hone our diving skills with world-class instructors. I wasn\'t disappointed. As promised, the TDI sidemount and cavern courses were challenging, but rewarding. It took me quite a while to get used to the sidemount equipment configuration and diving position, but my instructor Hugo persistently worked with me until I could achieve the expected level of competence. My buoyancy, trim, and propulsion technique are all considerably improved! The cavern course taught me how to handle challenging diving scenarios and equipment failure in zero visibility situations. I have never been more challenged nor felt more rewarded! After completing the courses (which were taught on-site at the gorgeous cenote Jardin del Eden), my partner and I decided to take advantage of Blue Life\'s excellent service, and spent two more days diving with them in local cenotes. Despite torrential downpours, the diving was spectacular with unbelievable visibility at every location. Chikin-Ha was extraordinary, Dos Ojos was epic, and Tajma-Ha was majestic and serene...there is no way to choose a favourite among them. The week spent with Hugo and Frank at Blue Life has made me a considerably better diver, and although I saw many wonderful things, I have had only the slightest glimpse of the beautiful caves, caverns and cenotes of the Yucatan. As I write this review I am currently booking my next trip to PDC to take another course with Blue Life. The cenotes are calling!

Very professional Prior to my visit I was choosing between dive shops, and it was the professionalism of Blue Life\'s communication that won me over. It was my first dives after certification earlier this year so I was still a bit nervous about my skills, but the staff made me feel really comfortable and took good care of me. Great dives with great guys! Just got back from a two week trip in Playa and Tulum with a group of friends. I booked the 3 days package which included a day at Cozumel, playa and a the Cenotes. (Ended up booking another two days later on as well!) Really good if you want to enjoy an Ocean dive and also try out something different with the cavern diving at the cenotes. Frank and his team are all super friendly and make sure you have a fun and relaxing time diving!! All really experienced and as a fairly inexperienced diver I felt like a learnt a lot from diving with them! Personal and Professional I spent three days diving with Blue Life Diving in early July 2015 and could not have been happier. Every interaction with them was personal and professional. Let\'s start with Sarah, who was always quick to respond to my email inquiries - and there were many. She was incredibly helpful, providing me her own recommendations (when I asked for them) and was always polite and never seemed like I was being a bother. She was more than happy to customize my dive package to fit my specific interests, and even gave the option for a game-time decision on where to go for my last day of diving (I chose another day of cenotes). Then, there was Remis - he was amazing! I dove with him two days in a row and every day was met with a warm greeting and an excitement for the day ahead. That excitement never left him - even when we found out that the boat moved to a different dock and we had to change plans quickly to make our charter. As a dive guide he was amazing. I\'ve never seen anyone so completely comfortable in the water and with text-book trim. Seriously - he didn\'t move in between frog kicks and was perfectly level (unbelievable). He was also very friendly and informative, showing us all the interesting sites (in the cenotes) and acquatic life (in Cozumel) or sharing his excitement over the things we saw on our dive - making it feel like a unique and special experience. Then there was Hugo, who I dove with on my last cenote dives. Like the others, he was very friendly and passionate for the dives. He was also taking an adventure dive student with us, but made the whole experience seamless for both of us (I\'m an MSD). He was also quick to pick up on and casually discuss the slight anxiety of the student diver with her. After ensuring she was at ease and up for the dive, we proceeded and all three of us had a great day. Even after all the dives were over I received another email from Sarah asking how they went. Excellent diving - local ocean, Cozumel and cenotes We had five days of wonderful diving with Blue Life - two days on the local Playa sites, two days on Cozumel via the ferry and a day at cenotes. We booked with Frank online and coordinated via both email and telephone. Frank has local and US phone numbers so he makes communications really easy - and he\'s almost instantaneous in responding to questions. It was kind of funny that we never actually met Frank in person during our visit, because he had gone to Mexico City to get a new vehicle for the business. However, he had everything so well organized that we didn\'t miss a beat. Josiah was our DM on the four ocean dive days. We met on our first day, set up our gear and didn\'t need to mess with it until our last dive. He took car of washing everything and hanging gear to dry. Throughout the dives, Josiah allowed us to dive at our own pace and spend as much time as we wanted checking out things we found and taking photos. He pointed out stuff he found, but he totally let us dive our own profiles and to our capabilities. We didn\'t surface until we needed to. It was great diving with Josiah. Rafael (aka Frenchie) took us diving at The Pit and Tajma Ha. We had two great dives and we loved experiencing Rafael\'s love of cenote and cave diving. We\'ve been diving with several other shops in the Playa area and Blue Life is the best we\'ve seen. We highly recommend them.

First Cenotes\' Dive! A recent short trip to Mexico, gave us an opportunity for one day of cenotes diving. A magical landscape and experience made even better by the generosity and hospitality we were given by Blue Life. LOVED my experience with MONICA I did my open water certification dive with Blue Life and I would highly recommend them. Frank was personable and helpful on the phone prior to my trip, as I was trying to sort out between way too many scuba centers options. He was giving me all sorts of helpful advice and it was clear I was not going to be just another client, but that I was going to get top of the line service and personal treatment. A great bonus for Blue Life is that they pick you up at your hotel to take you to the dives!!! So you don\'t have to find your way to the dive center and waste time and money on that. Felt like Indiana Jones My wife and I did our advanced water certification as well as Cenote diving with Blue Life. It was an unforgettable experience and Peter our instructor made it very special. Cenote diving was amazing, really felt like we were in an Indiana Jones movies, lol. Frank was very reliable, flexible, easy to work with and gave me the best prices possible. Couldn\'t have asked for a better diving experience and Blue Life made it happen.

Awesome Diving Not realizing our resort had a dive shop, we arranged to dive with Blue Life on our recent trip to Playa Del Carmen, and we are SO glad we did! We originally booked a 5-dive package; three cenote dives and two dives in Cozumel. When the dive days came, Willian picked us up at our resort right on time (apologizing for being 3 minutes late because of some issues with our hotel staff), we picked up our equipment, two other divers, and our tanks, and we were on our way. We had such a great first day diving with Willian in the cenotes (and getting our nitrox certs) that we ended up adding on another dive for the second day, so we did 2 Cozumel dives and another cenote, Cenote Zapote. That last cenote dive was not cheap, but it was 100% worth it, so if you get the chance, take it. It\'s a once in a lifetime kind of dive, and even the guys we dove with who had much, much more experience than we did said the same. Willian took awesome care of us, made sure we were comfortable and happy at every step, and just really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time diving and pushing our skill level just a little further than we had before, with great success. We enjoyed our Cozumel dives with Pancho as well, but the group was much larger and we didn\'t get as much of a chance to hang out with him, whereas we were driving around with Willian for 2 days. If you\'re in the area and looking to dive, dive with Blue Life. From setting everything up over email to the dives themselves to extra stuff we didn\'t anticipate doing, every part of it was awesome from start to finish. This is the kind of dive shop that spoils you for diving through less organized, less friendly resort shops.

Custom diving at its best I can tell you that Blue Life Diving\'s top spot on Trip Advisor has been well earned and deserved. My wife and I called a few dive operators for quotes and options on arrival in Playa. It was Blue Life Diving who\'s custom dive plan and attention to their customers needs won me over. Karla and Frank\'s attention to their customers is second to none. My wife got burnt on the day we went to Cozumel so wasn\'t feeling up to diving again in Cozumel the next day. Frank was so understanding and totally went out of his way to make last minute changes so we could dive two more cenotes vs. another long sunny trip on the Cozumel boat. Blue Life truly takes care of their customers and goes the extra mile to ensure that they are having a great time. In total we did ten dives with Blue Life. Also, their equipment is all top notch and well taken care of. Special thanks to William who helped me overcome my fear of cenote diving. (it was so good we dove four of them!) He practices super safe diving and is a great guide and an amazing person. We\'ll definitely we using Blue Life for all future diving trips on the Mayan Coast. They are the best!

Awesome! I booked a trip with my mom for an all day adventure with Blue Life. Karla is great. I reached out to her to help me plan the trip and she got back to me within 24 hours with a full, personalized itinerary (in addition to some suggestions outside of the tour!). We wanted to a trip that wasn\'t too touristy - and we got exactly what we wanted! Guillermo was an awesome tour guide and took us through some really cool cenotes - unlike previous Cancun experiences, there wasn\'t a soul around! I really appreciate the attentiveness and attention to detail Blue Life had and will definitely be going back on another tour!

Mind Expanding Cenotes - Outstanding Operation in every possible way I\'ll start with communication and service. Outstanding all the way. Karla is absolutely first rate with this always on the ball with a quick and helpful reply. When you\'re trying to sort things out on a holiday at short notice this is massively important. I might also add that nothing was too much trouble. In our case this included finding us accommodation at a hefty discount, lending us laptops & iPads to complete PADI training, re-scheduling training at short notice and so on. On the diving side Frank & Pete are both superb. Both vastly qualified and experienced for the PADI Open Water and the small amount of Cavern Diving I did. On their off time these guys go exploring and charting caves that have literally never been dived before so truly live and breathe it and it really showed when you were around them. The caves/caverns/cenotes/xenotes themselves were a huge highlight for me. Literally mind expanding. Really didn\'t know what to expect but found them to be totally jaw dropping (The Pit, Dream Gate to name two). I might add that the last dive I did before diving here was Darwin\'s Arches out in Galapagos. Finally Karla and Frank are a really lovely friendly couple and make a great team. There are some great dive operations around there but it is very clear to me why these guys are number 1.

The best operator in the area! We dived with Blue Life back in December and they were absolutely amazing! We did lots of research before coming to Mexico as there are thousands of dive operators available in the area and from other reviews we decided to do our Cenote dives with Blue Life. They are honestly the best operator in the area (we tried two other companies). Top Rate Diving Came out to Playa this past week. We had scheduled many dives to be done throughout the week. Blue Life was very organized. We dove with Samantha in Cozumel on the \"wall\". She was very sweet and helpful. Peter dove with us for the rest of our dives. English speaking always a plus. Super outgoing and fun to dive with. Peter picked us up from our hotel and drove us out to the dive boat for the salt dives, and for the Cenotes...picked us up and did the thirty minute drive with us. Willing to hold your hand if you need it, but for a seasoned diver you will feel like he is your friend. Had a fabulous time. Thank you Frank, Karla, Peter and Sam. We will definitely be back and use you again.

EXCELLENT, KNOWLEDGEABLE, ENJOYABLE We used Blue Life diving to do a private dive. Our family was of 3 people and we were sent a dive master \"PETE\" who was outstanding! Pete was from the UK so his English was perfect and very clear. Pete was extremely thorough and very knowledgeable. Pete also takes his job, and dive safety very seriously. We took a refresher course prior to our Akumal Dive and Cavern dive and I was very sure, we would be in good hands with Pete. I would strongly recommend this dive shop to anyone who wants to dive here in Mexico and needs an English speaking dive master. Very professional and worth every penny. We would opt to use Blue Life Diving again!

Unforgettable scenery with reliable tuition To experience the underwater world in the \"sink holes\" of Mexican jungle is a very exotic and cultural way of diving, its like nothing else! We chose Blue Life diving because of Frank\'s reputation in the diving society and by recommendation from his previous students. Our courses gave us new in-depth view of how to dive caverns with sidemount and we appreciated the high level of professionalism. We will for sure come back to dive the cenotes again, that tells a lot about our diving experience with Blue Life.

Best Dive Operation I\'ve Used I\'ve used many dive ops all over the world. Frank and Karla, by far, are the most patient, accommodating and knowledgeable that I\'ve experienced. We threw a few curve balls at them - there was some scuba, freediving and videography involved, and in multiple locations depending on light, depth and background. Never once did it seem that they were unwilling to go above and beyond to provide exactly what we needed on any given day. I\'m a scuba and freediving instructor, and can imagine that with Frank\'s nature and experience, he would be a fantastic teacher. I wouldn\'t hesitate to take a course with him, and I know who I\'ll call the next time I\'m in the area.

Incredible experience. Frank and his guides provided my friend an incredible first-time Cenote experience. My friend was a new Open Water diver, and I\'m an instructor, and we both were blown away by the whole thing. Awesome dive at Chac Mool We dove with Caesar on May 18th afternoon. It was one of the best dives ever in my life. Caesar was super nice and professional. He brought extra tanks with him going into the cave in case we are out of air. On the way to the cenote, he explained to us the basics of cave diving very clearly. He even let my friend use his awesome 7000 lumen dive light, which made a huge difference in all the pictures I took at Cenote. He also bought us beer at the end of the dive. Super nice guy! We would definitely want to dive with him again during our next Mexico trip!

Cenotes!!!! Was going to PDC and posted a msg online for guides and dive shops in the area. Got a number of ppl on Scubaboard.com that recommended Frank. Hooked up with him and planned some of the itinerary w/ him via facebook. Had a awesome time. Went well beyond in accommodating us and our requests to go see specific cenotes as well as recommending some as well. Awesome dives, great guide.

Awesome Cavern Diving! I was in Cozumel for a dive trip for a week this Spring. We were lucky enough to head over to Playa for a day of cenote diving. Excellent... Professional & fun. Great diving, great people, great experience. Cristobal could not have been more helpful. He is an exceptional guide and created a schedule for the dive sites that we wanted to see. With his expert advice we enjoyed a fantastic diverse range of cenote dives. From being picked up in the morning from our hotel, throughout the dives, to being returned home; the day could not have been better ran. Fantastic small groups allowed us to enjoy the cenotes without the hassle of larger (multiple guide) tours. Blue life\'s professionalism made me feel exceptionally comfortable despite not cavern diving before. If I could give them a higher score (than 100%) I would.... Amazing.
