Chun-Chacaab differs from all other reefs on the island due to its structure and vegetation running parallel to the shore. Sea plumes, fan coral, sponges, black coral and algae cover the entire reef. Crustaceans can be found hidden under small overhangs and we often see Hawksbill turtles cruising the ridges. Schoolmasters, Bermuda chubs, grunts, snappers and Blue Chromis are all very common in this area. While you are up in the shallow end you will see Red sea stars and Southern stingrays on the sandy bottom.
