Dos Ojos Cenotes

The most popular cenote dive in Mexico!  Reserve your space!

$220.00 $189.00

Duration: 5-7 Hours

Experience Level: Open Water diver certification with 10+ Dives (15 years old)

Dive Type: Cenote/Cavern

What's included? The trip includes 2 tanks, weights, snacks, water, park entrance, and a great guide that is at least Instructor and Full Cave certified.

Diving the Dos Ojos Cenotes is a favorite amongst adventure seekers. We promise you will have an amazing experience, and see something completely different from other dives you may have done before.

Dos Ojos means ‘Two Eyes’ in Spanish, and part of the tour takes us diving from one, through a tunnel to the other, and back again. The cenotes get their name from the 2 small openings that are very close to each other within the park. These holes are linked to each other and it is very easy to dive between them, which we will do on both cavern dives that are available here. The two cavern dives, called the Barbie Line and the Bat Cave are some of the most famous in the area. There are large open water areas with sandy bottoms so this is a great site for beginner and intermediate divers, or those diving in the cenotes for the first time.  The site is beautifully decorated and is also super popular among snorkelers. The average depth here is less than 30 ft/10 mt.

Before the dive you will be given a proper safety briefing and your guide will go over the different regulations we must follow to dive in an overhead environment.  There is a fixed guideline which we must follow at all times, and you will always remain within the natural light zone. This means that at any point throughout the dives you should always be able to see sunlight.  There is typically not enough light in the cenotes for the use of a GoPro, but please be sure to let us know if you are planning on bringing a camera as this changes the way we talk about dive safety.

In Blue Life we like to make sure you are always accompanied by one of our professional instructors, who will help you out with anything you may need.

The Dos Ojos Cenotes are part of the Sac Actun cave system, the largest underwater cave system in the world, with over 300 km of explored passage.  This is a great place to bring the family as there are also activities for non divers. If you want to get the most out of this experience, we recommend you combine the Dos Ojos dive with another dive such as the Pit or upgrade the cenote dives in your Taste of the Riviera Maya Package to include Dos Ojos.

Scuba course & Cenotes We just finished 4 days of scuba diving with blue life in playa del carmen. It was a fantastic experience due to the fact that there is such a diverse amount of wildlife and geological wonders in this area. I am already advanced open water qualified and my girlfriend decided to become advanced certified on this trip. We corresponded with Andrea from the office way in advance of our trip and she was responding to all of our emails (of which there were many) very quickly and accurately, we knew exactly what to expect and how much things would cost before we arrived. It is also very easy to pay online or in cash during your stay. The advanced course was taken by Steve and we can honestly say that he is one of the best scuba instructors we have both come across! He is so knowledgable and aware of all the correct procedures that you will come away such a better diver. He was also able to spot almost anything that was hiding under the water for us to see. Thank you Steve! We chose to dive in both playa del carmen’s reef and took the speed boat over to Cozumel (an island just off the coast with a protected nature reserve) if you have the choice make sure you go over there as it is worth the extra cost. We also took a day doing two dives in the cenotes, which are huge fresh water caverns in the jungle. This was an amazing experience as neither of us had dived in fresh water or in a cavern, the sunlight filtering through is beautiful, if you already love diving in the sea, this is not to be missed. Our guide for this day was Lucca a very experienced cave diver from Italy, he was not only a very knowledgeable diver who made us feel at ease, but also knew a lot about the local area and gave us info on other excursions we might like, he was also a very funny guy, highly recommended. My girlfriend was pretty scared about being in the cavern and he made sure she felt safe at all times. Cheers Lucca! We also did our Nitrox certification whilst we were there and Blue Life made it easy for us, we will be diving nitrox a lot in future. The only bit of feedback on the negative side at all was that on our first day it had not been communicated to the instructors that we would do the nitrox course and so we missed out on the first day diving nitrox, although there had been a storm just before we arrived so it could explain the slight lapse in organisation, as everything else was great. In summary we would highly recommend blue life and all of its staff & instructors for making sure we had an amazing scuba experience!! More

Best all around experience! My experience with Blue Life started weeks before traveling to Playa Del Carmen. Andrea was extremely responsive to the multitude of questions that I had about the area and the recommendations for our trip. Because of this response and attention, I felt I was visiting old friends when I finally made it to Playa. But the best part was the Cenote dives with Hugo. He proved to be the most fantastic guide and dive partner around. If you are looking for a terrific experience with excellent customer service and amazing dive experiences, Blue Life has it all!

I really like this dive shop My husband and I spent a week in Playa del Carmen in Sept 2018. We planned to do our Open Water certification with Blue Life at the beginning of our trip, then join some friends for the rest of the week. We had so much fun during our first two days though, that we subsequently cancelled our remaining plans so we could do more diving. Andrea was our point of contact through email, and she was very responsive and helpful. She even tracked us down on Whatsapp so she could communicate with us easier. She was also very accommodating of all of our last minute requests and changes. Our open water course was done with Hugo, who is a fantastic instructor. We had so much fun the entire time. He also managed to squeeze in both pool sessions into the first day, so we did not have to return to the pool on our second morning. Instead, we did the Cozumel upgrade (which I highly recommend) for our 3rd and 4th ocean dives. We also did 2 cenote dives with Isabelle, and 2 with Bob. Both were great and very knowledgeable. I have pretty bad thalassophobia, and a dark, flooded underground cavern is pretty much the stuff my nightmares are made of. However, I did not feel anxious of worried in the least with either Isabelle or Bob. Overall, Blue Life is a fantastic dive shop and we would definitely dive with them again!

Amazing dives with amazing dive shop in Playa Del Carmen I recently completed my PADI Advanced Open Water and Nitrox courses with Blue Life and had a fantastic time. Andrea was really helpful arranging everything, and Scuba Steve really was a great instructor for my Advanced Open Water course. I did the refresher, followed by 5 AOW ocean dives in Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel and I really appreciate Andrea and Steve organising a Shipwreck dives as one of these. I couldn\'t miss out on the opportunity to dive in a cenote, so a couple of days later I returned to Blue Life to complete my Nitrox course diving in Dos Ojos with William. Another great experience and completely different from the other dives. I went with Blue Life because of the great TripAdvisor recommendations, and I\'d 100% recommend Blue Life too!

Great dive shop, wonderful staff! Well equipped shop that will put together a quality package of dives for you. Both instructors who accompanied me on my dives were fantastic! I did 2 Cozumel dives and 2 Cenotes dives with Valentina as well as 2 Playa dives with Steve. Valentina did an amazing job of giving me a very thorough pre dive briefing after telling her I had not been diving in awhile, including a very good job of going through all the equipment with me. She was also a fantastic all around instructor, enthusiastic, and just a very nice person. Steve was also fantastic. He went with me and my cousin who was a discovery diver and ensured my cousin had a memorable, fun, and safe first experience diving. I really recommend Blue Life for both experienced and new divers.

I had a great experience with the entire team at BlueLife. I did 4 reef dives (2 at Playa and 2 at Cozumel) with Valentina, 2 cenote dives with Hugo, and also did the whale shark snorkeling up in Isla Mujeres. Everyone was very professional, prepared, thorough, and communicated very clearly about all aspects of the activities. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a great experience from beginning to end!

Heavenly diving experience! I did nine fabulous dives with Blue Life - 2 reef dives with Gustavo and 7 cenote dives with Vale. The customer service was excellent from the first email contact with Andrea. The instructors took patient care of me every step of the way, even through issues with my ears and congestion. I can\'t say enough good things about the cenote dives. Fantastic, each one a different world. We visited 6 cenotes in all - Calavera, Car Wash, the Pit (my favorite), 2 dives in Dos Ojos, Ponderosa (Jardin del Eden) and Taj Maha. This was my first cenote experience after years of reef diving, and I\'m so glad I did it. The beauty and other-worldly quality of these places is hard to describe. Such a transformative experience. Vale took such awesome care of me I felt pampered through every dive. Blue Life is a great dive shop and I will certainly dive with them again on my next trip. Such friendly people who take good care of their customers. And, after all, there are more cenotes to see!

Amazing! I did the two-cavern diving trip (Dos Ojos and The Pit), and I can\'t say enough good things. The company was super organized and attentive in helping me prep for the trip and making sure I had what I needed. My guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and the dive sites were absolutely stunning -- both in very unique and different ways. And I ended up being the only diver, so it felt like I was getting a private full-day excursion. Start to finish just an amazing experience. Definitely recommend trying cenote-diving if you\'re an ocean diver looking to experience something totally different, definitely recommend Blue Life to take you on that trip.

The Best Dive Experience Ever!!! We recently traveled to Playa del Carmen with another family to do some diving. A few of us had previous experience but the kids were all first timers. Each of the girls (13,16,16) had to finish their open water certification there and we were a little apprehensive as to how it would all go. Little did we know that we were in great hands with Andrea and the amazing group of Dive Masters at Blue Life. Valentina watched over the girls with such detailed care it was amazing and Steve was the perfect guide for the rest of us that needed some brushing up as it had been a while since we dove. The next three days and 6 dives were awesome and the girls did great. Steve showed us so much detail in the reef and took the time to take some amazing pictures of us. Valentina was so kind and informative and on the third day took us on a tour inside the Dos Ojos Cenote that we will never forget. She is awesome!!! (and so thorough in her Dive preparation.) We will definitely be back!

Kids first diving adventure couldn’t have been better! We came to Playa to share our love of diving with our teenage daughters. Everything about blue life was great. We did a referral course - took the pool and classroom in LA first. We had two dive masters that were perfect for us. Valentina for the girls, and Steve the expat for the parents. Valentina was calm, clear and thorough, calming iur girls fears. Steve had us up and running in no time as well. An old pro, Steve showed us great lobster, turtles, eel and more at every turn. He even brought out his GoPro when ours broke, and supplied great shots of our trip. We did 3 days- the open water dive off the pier, then off to Cozumel and dos ojos cenotes (which are a must do) Couldn’t have been better! We will be back, and blue life will be our guides, for sure!

First time cave diving Had a great first time cave diving experience with Blue Life. Our guide, Valentina, was professional, courteous, and very strong (picture a five foot woman lugging O2 tanks up steep stairways on her shoulders)! She gave us an excellent pre-dive briefing which made the experience that much more enjoyable and relaxing. I would definitely go with these guys again next time I am in the area, hopefully to see some whale sharks this time!

Excellent Staff, Excellent Service I recently (June 1 ~ June 11) spent some time in Mexico for my step-daughters wedding. I am a PADI Master Trainer and have been scuba diving since 1991. I will take the opportunity to dive whenever I am near water. Blue Life was one of several companies recommended to me by my fellow instructors at Action Scuba where I teach. All my research and e-mail exchanges with Blue Life were professional, timely, and informative. I found Andrea to be absolutely amazing in arranging dives for myself, my son, my daughter, and my new son-in-law. Se was extremely helpful in suggesting sites and co-ordinating dives that would satisfy Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and MSDT ratings!!! Their rental equipment was in great shape and they ensured a proper fit. Our Instructor/Dive Master was Hugo and I cannot recommend him enough. His briefings were superb and he excellently guided us through open water dives and Cenotes. If your travels bring you to Playa Del Carmen I could not offer a better recommendation than to dive with Blue Life. I was so impressed (and it is not always easy to impress another instructor), that I am trying to arrange a group trip from Montreal to dive with Hugo and gang. Andrea...you are amazing!!! Thanks so much for the positive experience!

Scuba in Cozumel and Snorkel in Dos Ojos The total experience was great. Blue Life and Vale were able to guide us through the entire way and make it very enjoyable. The shop was in a great location and the equipment was well kept. Vale was able to teach us through our dive skills and took care of us while we were diving. She was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to work with our vacation schedule. We went to Cozumel and were able to see the sea turtles, and to Dos Ojos and saw the bat cave. I highly recommend Blue Life to anyone of any age and skill level

Scuba diving Dos Ojos & Cenotes We had a wonderful experience on our trip thanks to Blue Life dive shop. We relied on trip advisors great reviews to plan our scuba reservations. We instantly felt well taken care of by Andrea to book our dives. Super professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Our dive master impressed us as well. Her name was Valentina. Super professional with a keen eye on our dives finding very unique sea life. Wish we could give them more than 5 stars! Highly recommend their services.

Great first cenote dive at Dos Ojos It was my first time diving in a cenote, and I had the privilege of having Vale as my competent guide for Dos Ojos. She helped me get familiar with the environment we were going to and made sure I was comfortable. It was great! Also, the hot torta lunch after the dive at a local restaurant at Dos Ojos was notable - so much nicer than a cold sandwich!

Great Experience Blue Life is a great dive shop. I highly recommend them for diving if you are in the Playa del Carmen area. I went with them for dive trip to Cozumel. The price was reasonable, the dive master, Flor, was very knowledgeable, safety conscious and professional. She took the time to explain the local area regulations, currents, dive safety concerns and procedures. The dives were fantastic, and despite bad weather, I had a wonderful experience. Because my first experience was so good, I booked another dive trip a few days later to dive in the Dos Ojos cenote. Once again the dive master/guide was very knowledgeable, safety conscious and professional. I was a bit apprehensive having never done any cavern diving. Bob took the time to ensure that I understood the safety briefing was comfortable with everything before proceeding. It was a pleasure to deal with Blue Life and I would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to go diving with a certified dive outfit in the area. I will be back the next time I am in the area.

Wonderful Dives with Blue Life I was visiting Playa Del Carmen for a week and wanted to do some diving. I contacted them via their website and response was very quick with most of the information I needed. I did 6 dives with them. 2 at Playa Del Carmen, 2 at a Cenote and 2 at Cozumel. The dives were very personal and the group was small, so a lot of personal attention was given. I rented equipment from them. The equipment was normal dive center quality, but I was told by the dive masters that diving equipment in Mexico can be very very expensive and thus most other dive shops have much older and used equipment then Blue Life. Coming from Asia, I am used to 3mm or Lycra wetsuits. Here they dive 5mm wetsuits and getting in and out of them can be painful, however, the water was cold and it is necessary. I you have your own gear, I would suggest at least bringing booties and fins as some of the dives requiring walking on rough ground to get to the water. On the dives, the must do must be a Cenote. It is a cave dive in fresh water. The visibility is amazing like no other, and should not be missed. Do note that as it s a cave, you suit up at the carpark, and carry full gear down to the cave entrance before descending into the waters. Here wearing booties/fins would be the best way to go. Else wear slippers and leave them at the cave entrance. I also liked Cozumel. It can be done by speedboat, or ferry to Cozumel then speedboat. Here the sea is blue and there is a carnival feel with all the cruise ships sailing by. The difference between ferry and speedboat is the speedboat leaves Playa direct to the dive site, but its long bumpy journey to get there and back. I chose the ferry. It was an enjoyable ride on a big boat with a band playing. At the Cozumel docks, you transfer to a speedboat that brings you to the dive site. It is a longer way to get to the dive, but I enjoyed the ferry and also the brief time in Cozumel after the dive (to wait for the ferry back to Playa). For the ferry option we left at about 930am to catch the 10am ferry, and came back by the 3am ferry, reaching the dive shop about 4pm. In summary = Blue Life - Professional, Friendly, Flexible, First Class Dive Masters, Reasonable Equipment, Reasonable Pricing, Small Groups - Cant go wrong with them Diving - 5mm Wet suits, great visibility, good range of dive experiences, Must do a cenote.

Private Diving Charter We really lucked out with 2 private dives! First, my wife and I dove Dos Ojos with Willie. He was awesome. Very attentive. He was making sure we were comfortable the entire time. I enjoyed the conversation about Mexico, diving and great coffee on our drive to the cenote and back. Cenote process - taxi to dive shop to get fitted for gear (excellent condition equipment), then drive to cenote. Then gear up with tank and walk a short distance (with stairs), so if this might be an issue they will help. Then dive and back up to truck to break and back down. Willie treated us to awesome coffee on the way back and dropped us at our hotel - since we passed it going back. Super helpful and time saving. Second dive was in Playa with just Vale and me - it does not get more private and/or 1st class treatment. Wreck and then reef. She kept a close eye on me and showed me all the sites. Saw just about everything - sharks, eels, rays, turtles, lobsters, tons of fish, etc. She was very detailed on the pre and post dive briefings. Very professional. Process - taxi to dive shop, gear up and walk a block to the boat. Beach entry to rear of boat.Tanks are on boat. Be prepared to travel light. Surprising that it really is super easy and well rehearsed process. We had around 10 total divers on the boat. This was 2 groups from another shop and one other Blue Life group. On the wreck we ended up being on it with another boat, so that was a little crowded. After diving I walked 2 blocks to 5th Avenue for shopping and lunch. Then taxi back to my hotel. The private diving and the great pricing made this an awesome experience. Thanks Blue Life!

Amazing dive shop. My son and I came to playa del carmen for his spring break to dive and I am so so glad we happened upon Blue Life. First of all we had an airline snafu and missed a day of diving which we had paid in advance for. Blue Life actually offered to refund us our money for the day we missed which I wasn\'t expecting. I was thrilled they offered to do that. This was my son\'s first dive experience since his certification dive and we chose to go to the dos ojos cenote after a lot of back and forth with Andrea at the shop. I was just undecided about what the best dives to do were. She was incredibly responsive and helpful with all of my questions. We got to the shop the morning of the dive and Pepe was punctual, helpful in figuring out our equipment and warm and welcoming. The equipment was in good shape. He drove us the 45 mins to the cenote and really took his time explaining everything we needed to know. He helped us put our gear together, explained where we would be going and how the dive would go so there would be no surprises. I felt totally comfortable and at ease doing a very different dive than I\'m used to. I can\'t say enough good things about Pepe and the professionalism of him and this dive operation. I got a bit cold during the dive but Pepe made sure I ate enough and warmed up enough to go ahead with the second dive which I\'m so happy I did. I was thinking I might not go back down for the second dive but it was even better than the first! If youve never dove in these cenotes they are a must. They are the coolest experience ever and do them with Blue Life.

Blue Life + Pepe = Awesome Experience I seldom write reviews as most stuff has been said before. But when I come across an amazing experience with a fantastic instructor/guide - I must say something. Pepe treated us with such kindness, respect and patience that it made the entire experience unforgettable. We dived at Dos Ojos which is a great location for those who like to cavern dive. I especially liked the way that Pepe prepared us for the dive - so much so I hope to come back next year and have my 13 daughter trained by him. Great Job Pepe.

Professional, Safe, and FUN! First time diving in this area and Blue Life made everything simply Awesome! Found them through TA reviews, and all the good stuff said is true. This is a group of organized, motivated dive professionals that really cares about giving divers the best possible experience. Did the 3-day Taste of Riviera Maya which was a day on the Playa reef, a day at Cozumel (Santa Rosa Wall, unbelievable!) both with Valentina and then the Dos Ojos Cenote with Pepe which was not only a fascinating Cavern dive but in the clearest water I\'ve ever seen or imagined. (Lots of stretches I could not actually see the water!) My wife is a free-diver, so they arranged a guide for her on the Cozumel and Cenote days, and she had an absolute blast with Dalai. Everything was arranged perfectly, from the pre-trip emails with Frank to help me select dives, to Yesika and Leo being in contact during our stay to figure which locations to dive on different days, as there was a bit of weather around and they were so great about assessing conditions to make sure we had good diving that day. Such reasonable rates for personalized dive plans with small groups, I think no more than 4 per dive master. On two of 3 dives, it was just me and the dive master, so this was a great time of year to dive. Valentina and Pepe were so thorough and safety-conscious in the pre-dive briefings, and once on the dive knew the best places to show the incredible variety of sealife on the reefs and the amazing formations in the Cenotes. I really felt everyone we met was down-to-earth and authentic, and focused on doing their best for us. These people love to dive, and love to show other divers just how incredible this area is, so their enthusiasm just shines brightly. Overall, my best diving experiences ever. (Even better than Kona, especially because of the variety of coral, sponges and fans and critters: huge lobsters and crabs, Eagle rays, BIG nurse shark, tons of various Morays, octopi, beautiful Shrimp, schools of Jacks, some Groupers, etc, etc) When we return to Playa, all I have to think about is finding a hotel closer to Blue Life, which should be easy: they\'re only a block from the beach!

Beyond our expectations! Blue Life really walks that extra mile for their customers. Me and my friend were looking for a dive center where we could have a private guide or at least be in a very small group with experienced divers. Blue life delivered beyond our expectations. The owner Frank arranged everything we wanted and together with our guide Pepe we got to see bull sharks and the cenotes and I could not have felt more safe despite my lack of experience in diving in caverns and darkness. Pepe did not only guide us, he also taught me a lot and made our whole diving experience so much fun. He even brought me some of his private gear to make my diving more comfortable. I can truly recommend Blue Life!

Just LIke Everyone Says! Three of us divers (beginner to advanced) dove with Blue Life on Monday Oct 23rd. Our guide was Hugo and we did Dos Ojos. I must say that this dive operator is very easy to work with, and very professional. Their rental gear was in top shape, and Hugo, our guide, was extremely informative and helpful. He has much experience and stressed safety, and yet we had fun and came away more knowledgeable of cenote diving. I would highly recommend this company for anyone wanting to dive the cenotes in and around Playa del Carmen.

Rock-star Cenote Dive with Hugo! It was our first Cenotes dive experience and it was nothing short of amazing! It was just my husband, Hugo and myself for the two tank dive. We just showed up the day before and the staff gave us a huge hug and helped us book the dives within 5 min! Very go with the flow and made us feel very comfortable and safe. We had never done a cave dive so having it be the 3 of us made me feel extremely safe and made for a remarkable experience. We will definitely be back to Playa and Blue Life Diving will be our first stop....well after we grab a cerveza! Thanks again Blue Life Team and Hugo!

Great Experience I only had a day to dive on this visit to Playa, so I called and asked for a recommendation for a diver with significant experience. The shop recommended the Cenotes and I was a bit skeptical because I had been in a few over the years but never diving. The divemaster took us to Dos Ojos and it turned out to be a great experience. It was a truly enjoyable experience and more importantly I can\'t say I\'ve gone on a dive with a more professional dive-master. I\'m looking forward to diving with these guys the next time I\'m down in Playa!!

Flexible and attentive I want to thank the Bluelife team for organizing our diving. We were not simple clients, two kids frustrate our plans, so Fernanda and Marcela have to change and rearrange our dives several times. But anyway, we got all we want and dive in the most interest cenotes. If you want to get individual attention, you should go to the BlueLife!

6 Cenote Dives... Experience of a life time I\'m a PADI AOW diver with 45 tanks experience. However, this is the first time I dive in fresh water. Cenote dive is absolutely an unique experience. My dive guide Sarah was excellent. She explained every details very carefully before dive, took care of every member in the team. The 6 cenotes dive is worthy to give it a try.

Best Cenote diving experience! Friendly & Professional Service We booked a cenotes scuba dive trip with Blue Life ahead of time, and from the very start we received very professional and friendly support from the Blue Life team. Marcela communicated with us via email to coordinate every detail of our trip, including transportation since we were staying in Tulum, so that we were ready to go when we arrived. There were four divers in our group, and we felt like we received very attentive and personalized service from Blue Life - we were able to dive the cenotes as our own group with Hugo, our cavern dive master. We had a fantastic time diving with him! He is a wonderful, professional, and very experienced friendly guide. He made us feel comfortable 100% of the time, especially important diving in the cenotes\' cavern zone since we had zero prior experience doing so. In addition, their SCUBA equipment was in tip top shape - it was very evident that they care for and maintain all of their gear very well. We are very happy with our choice to dive with Blue Life, as they provided simply excellent service. We will definitely be diving with Blue Life again the next time we return to the Riviera Maya for another round of cenotes diving. Thank you for your professionalism and outstanding service!!!

Great diving I had the pleasure to dive in dos ojos with Blue Life. While It was the my first time diving in a cave/cenote, I felt completely at ease, however, thanks to the professional and good care of Sarah, which made it an amazing experience for me! I highly recommend to go diving with Blue Life!

Perfect diving experience I spent a lot of time going back&forth in choosing a dive outfit for my cenote dives. Given the potentially-dangerous nature of cavern-diving I wanted to make sure that I was totally comfortable both in the equipment and the guide. BlueLife did not disappoint. From the start the regular email interaction with Fernanda was quick & responsive. As someone who can\'t physically walk with a BCD and tank on they made sure to accommodate my physical needs for the cenote diving, as well as my vegan dietary requirements for the lunch & snacks they provide. I did three dives on my outing : The Pit and Cenote Dos Ojos (Bat- and Barbie- line). Our dive guide, Hugo, was gregarious, calming, present and and at no times did we feel like there was any safety concern. In short, I would dive with them again if I am ever in the area in the future!

Crazy Good Diving with Amazing team I went for 4 days of diving with the Blue Life team, with the planning done by Fernanda and Alex, and Hugo leading the dives. I took several courses for the Advanced SDI certification and Hugo seamlessly incorporated the in-water learning as part of the diving experience. I dove nitrox for 3 days and air for the last day. The variety of diving opportunities in the Playa del Carmen area is truly amazing, and with no prior experience in this area I relied heavily on Fernanda to put together a program and she delivered in spades. I did two dives near the Blue Life office in Playa, including one with bull sharks, the other a reef. The sharks were an amazing sight and not to be feared. We then did two dives in Akumal, which is famous for turtles. My wife and teenage daughter went snorkeling at the same time and had an amazing experience with Louis acting at a guide. On this dive we were joined by two friends who had limited diving experience, and one diver was pretty nervous after a bad experience during her open water course. Hugo ensured that these dives were flawless and memorable for all of us. FYI, Hugo also knows the absolute best taco stand in Mexico - seriously crazy good. Our third day were cenote (cave) dives at the Dos Ojos (two eyes) site. Truly a great experience, but may not be suitable if you are claustrophobic. This dive needs good buoyancy control so best to do this after a couple open water dives if you are a bit rusty. Transportation was all handled by Blue Life. This was just myself and Hugo, and was another great day. The fourth day was truly amazing - diving the wall in Cozumel. Blue Life took care of all ferry transportation from Playa, and transfer to the marina on Cozumel. This trip included a group of 6 divers and Hugo. We were joined at the boat by the captain and a second dive master/mate so there was plenty of staff per customer. There are very strong currents in this area and the safety briefing was thorough and showed that Blue Life had significant experience in this area. I had requested pricing and information from several other dive shops in Playa del Carmen, and what set Blue Life apart was Fernanda taking the time to put a package together with a set price schedule that was easy to understand. I only provided the basic outline of the sites I wanted to dive (cenote, sharks, the Wall). All of the other shops just sent me a price list and told me to pick things. Blue Life had an excellent web site which allowed me to research the itinerary and Fernanda got the itinerary right on the first draft - no changes needed!

Awesome First Cenote Dive Experience! Of all the excursions we arranged for our Playa vacation, no one had better communication and follow up than Blue Life Diving. Such a great organization to work with! Sarah provided excellent explanations and supervision, Fernanda was a pleasure to schedule with, and the Dos Ojos dive site was perfect for our first Cenote dive. We can\'t wait to return, and dive new Cenotes with Sarah!

A picture perfect! A world of adventures lies under the waters of Mexico and the Blue Life Diving team was ready and willing to take me under their wings and show me more than I had ever expected. Beautiful reefs, mesmerizing connotes and all the under water life you can imagine. Sarah, Fernanda and Hugo made my trip a picture perfect with their personal and caring service. No moment of doubt that I would like to come back and I recommend Blue Life Diving to anyone who is ready to enjoy their trip to Mexico to the max!

I was in Playa Del Carmen after doing a race in Cozumel and was looking for a company to take me on a Cenonte dive. Found Blue Life and schedule a dive on short notice. They were easy to deal with on the phone, had a nice clean open air shop right near my hotel. Sarah took us to Dos Ojos for the dive. This was a beautiful dive location for my first Cenote. She explained everything we need to know about making the dive and took the time to make sure everyone in the group was comfortable before we started. We made two dives with snacks in between which Blue Life provided. After our dive Sarah drove us back to the shop in their van. I would recommend Blue Life to anyone looking for a dive company in Playa Del Carmen and I would dive with them again. Paul

Cenote Diving A friend and I wanted to dive cenotes. I am a professional diver and have been in the industry for a while, so I was looking for a good service. Blue Life provided that, and then some. Hugo and Valentina took care of us like royalty. On time pick up, great attitude, snacks, all gear in great shape, and they definitely knew what they were doing. Having experienced many dive companies, including those I worked for, this is one to recommend. If you are going to Playa del Carmen/Tulum and want to have a great time diving cenotes, give these guys a call.

Great small diving store I used this store in a couple of cenote dives earlier this year, and also got certified in Nitrox with them. My experience was very good. I had to rent material since I didn\'t bring any with me and it was good of quality and condition, including dive computers, etc. I will use them again in my next visit to the area. Recommended.

Absolutely Wonderful.. Now we know why Blue Life get so many 5 star rating. We did six days of diving reef, cenotes and sidemount training. Fernada even guided us on our 2 tank boat dive and spotted a \"Pea\" very young, tiny Trunk Fish. She was so happy and the mood was set for the rest of our time. We were totally pleased with all our guides and sidemount instruction. Thank you all again Fernada, Sara, Rimas and especially, patient instructor Suzy. We would highly recommend \"Blue Life\" for safe diving and great instruction.

amazing cenote dives!!! I\'ve been to a couple of cenote dives with Sarah from the Blue Life Diving. I must say she\'s a great guide as well as a great person. She\'s fun, patient and she knows what she\'s doing. I never had a second though about diving in the cenote no matter how deep or dark it got. I always felt at ease with Sarah as my guide - Thank you again Sarah - you are amazing! Thank you also to all the other staff members who always responded within a few hours or even less to my emails. I highly recommend this diving shop for cenote or any kind of dive. Here are some great people working!

Safe and Fun Diving We did six cenote dives in two days with Hugo, and it was a fantastic experience. I would definitely recommend Blue Life Diving. You get a personalized experience, and the staff are great to work with. Fernanda is great to communicate with in advance of your trip and help with anything you need. She is quite friendly. Hugo picked us up at our hotel and took us to the cenotes. At each site, he went over the map of the cenote and our planned dive. He gave us backup lights to keep in our BCD\'s since we just had one each. Each dive and each cenote was fun and different. If you are advanced certified, on of my favorites was El Pit. After our dive at El Pit, Hugo asked if we wanted to look at the Pet Cemetery cenote. Because it is lit by artificial light, you need to be cave certified, but he took us inside to see the cavern, and it is really beautiful. Hugo didn\'t need to take us to Pet Cemetery and other shops might now, but it was nice he went out of his way to show us since we were in the area. Lunch was included in our trip. Lunch is probably sandwiches they pick up along the way because it\'s good to take with you, but we love tacos So Hugo took us to taco places that had amazing food. Because our Spanish is minimal, Hugo would tell us what was in each dish. He would order for us, and it was perfect quick eats between dives. Some of the best tacos we had on the trip. On the second day, there was a couple that was having a hard time communicating at the restaurant. Hugo went to the counter and helped communicate with the random couple to help them get tacos as well. Hugo\'s English is fantastic if you aren\'t great at Spanish like me. He has really interesting stories about his experience diving and living in the Yucatan. If you dive with him, I encourage you to ask him about his cave diving experience. He adheres to cavern/cave restrictions completely, and this ensures that you are safe on every dive. I prefer to break the rules most of the time, but cavern/cave restrictions are in place because people have been seriously injured. This is a really good shop that cares about your experience. I recommend asking for Hugo.

Great dives and excellent guides We did two days of diving - Cozumel and Dos Ojos with Blue Life and we enjoyed ourselves and their excellent service. Sarah is a wealth of information and spared no details to safety and when it came to pointing out tiny little critters! Hugo took us diving in the Dos Ojos cenote. It was our first time diving in caves/caverns but he made us feel very safe and we would definitely come back to dive with Blue Life next time we are in Playa Del Carmen.

What every dive shop should strive to be I booked my trip to Playa in less than a week. Fernanda and Sarah were great in helping me organize my dives and created a customized dive package for me that really worked out perfectly. But before I get into the individual dives, I knew Blue Life was the dive shop for me when they recommended that I should NOT dive the afternoon I got there. My flight arrived in the late morning and it would have cut things really close to make the afternoon boat but I wanted to get in as much diving as I could on this trip so I inquired about making the afternoon boat on that day. Blue Life recommended that I take the afternoon off because there was a good chance that I would miss the boat and I would be super tired from traveling. Well they were absolutely right and I am glad I listened to their advice. I would have made it on time if I went to the diveshop directly from the airport, but I was so tired after such an early morning flight that if I had gone diving I would have been miserable and it would have been a bit unsafe. This really showed me that Blue Life is more about safety and making sure their divers are enjoying themselves rather than making as much $$ as possible (which unfortunately many dive shops are more concerned with). The next day I did 3 dives in Cozumel with Rimas. On all three dives, it was just me, Rimas and one other diver. Rimas was an awesome dive guide. He was very thorough in his pre-dive briefing and it was clear that safety was #1. He also made sure I maximized my bottom-time. On my third dive, the other diver was a beginner and I was a bit nervous that he was going to blow through his air quickly. I think Rimas was thinking the same thing so he asked the first mate of the boat who was also a divemaster/instructor to dive with us. After the beginner diver went through his air rather quickly, Rimas ascended with him and I stayed down for a bit longer with the other dive guide. I don\'t know many dive shops that would have done this for one diver. The next day I went on 4 dives with Rimas in Playa. The 4 dives were great because it was just me and him. I love one on one dives and half of my dives with Blue Life were one on one. I felt like I was back in my open water course from all the personal attention. On my final day of diving I did 3 dives at two different Cenotes with Hugo. The first two tanks were at Dos Ojos. Hugo was great with his pre-dive briefing and was a great guide. It was my first time cavern diving but I felt completely safe. I did dive with 3 other divers who had just gotten their open-water but it wasn\'t as bad as I thought it was going to be. My last dive of the day and the last dive of my trip was at a different Cenote (Tajmaha) and this was my favorite dive of the entire trip. It helped that this was another one on one dive and our bottom time was much, much longer than my dives at Dos Ojos. Hugo also took me on a route that I think was the opposite direction of the other divers there so it felt like we were the only divers in that Cenote. I also liked that Hugo told me the history of the Cenotes and the current state as well. Some quick stats: 10 dives total 5 one-on-one dives Average dive group size: 1.9 divers/guide (which is insanely low) Rimas and Hugo were incredible guides and really good people too. I met some of the other dive shop people and they were all really nice and I\'m sure are great guides/instructors. But what really stands out is that you can tell they really love what they do and love diving, and that attitude makes it a better experience for the divers. I will definitely be back in Playa to dive with Blue Life again as there are many more Cenotes that I would like to dive. *Don\'t forget to tip your Dive Guide and Crew! The generally accepted practice is $5-10 PER TANK. Tipping is obviously your choice but it\'s kind of a D move not to.

Fantastic Diving. Wonderful Staff. This shop is situated on the \"mellow\" edge of town, away from the fray of Playa del Carmen\'s main strip, 10th Avenue. The relaxed vibe that pervades the shop takes the frenetic human temperature down to more acceptable levels, a welcome respite from the din and souvenir palaces just a few blocks away. For divers looking for a more personalized approach, the dedicated crew that run this delightful outfit will customize your diving trips and strive to make everything work. If cenote diving is your thing, or if you\'d like to add such an experience to a log book (as I did), the crew here provide expert guidance--they are trained cave divers. Our family, with varying degrees of skills, took the plunge with Hugo and Remus, diving Cozumel and the reef off Playa. Hugo conducted open-water certification dives for our 10-year-old, and Fernanda took care of our questions and bookings (and recommended local eateries as well). Rental prices are reasonable and the equipment is in good shape. Highly recommended!

Cave Diving in the Cenotes of Riveria Maya I just returned from a week of diving with the staff at Blue Life Diving. Day one, Vale and I took the ferry to dive in Cozumel. I love diving in Cozumel. The remaining 6 days I went cave diving with Hugo as my guide. We visited a different cave system each day; it was fantastic. Both of the guides were personable, safety conscious and very knowledgable about the area and its dive sites. Last year, I took a two week course in side mount, cavern and cave diving at Blue Life. Interested in exploring a new chapter in diving? If so, investigate the options at Blue Life. You can feel comfortable diving with the personnel there; you will be in good hands. Charles.

My Happy Blue Adventures At the end of March, I was back in Playa and I decided to try this dive centre out due to location and Tripadvisor reviews and I was not disappointed. This is a professional and friendly dive shop walking distance from the ocean. My DM Valentina (ocean) and Simon (cenotes) were fantastic (!!!) and the Office Manager Fernanda promptly responded to all my inquiries. I even added a last minute snorkel trip with my boyfriend (he doesn\'t dive) to the cenotes and had a great time with our driver/guide Suzy. I will definitely use them again when I go back to Playa del Carmen.

Blue Life is the best!!! This is the best dive shop I have ever been to. The staff is amazing. From the initial booking with Fernanda to the diving with Hugo, Sarah, and Frank, everything is super organized and professional. This was my 3rd time cave diving with Blue Life and I would not go anywhere else. bucket list cenote diving After a week of drift diving Cozumel, added a few days in Cancun with plans to do a couple of cenote dives. Well, expectations were exceeded, our DM, Simon, was our DM, very safety concious & experienced. An \"other worldly\" experience, glad we had a serious DM, would not have wanted to do 1st cenote diving with a company or DM with less experience, if open water diving can kill you, cenote diving can do it 4x as easy. Would definately go back. My 130 dives are not big time, but have enough to know a quality, customer service driven dive company when I experience 1. Fernanda, the shop & dive coordinator, was very prompt @ answering all my pre-trip questions, like she wanted us to join them, what a concdept.

Perfect! Blue Life was complete perfection from beginning to end! Fernanda assisted me from afar as I planned a three day dive trip for my son 19 (who was nearly finished with his PADI certification) and myself who hadn\'t been diving in 23 years. She stayed in touch regularly with me and responded to my multiple questions quickly and completely. I felt very comfortable heading in to this trip knowing that she was in charge of us. Upon our arrival to Playa del Carmen the weather forecast was windy for our dive days but Fernanda quickly dealt with it by steering us to the dives that would be safe and would best suit our desires as well as get us diving. Since we could not dive directly from Playa del Carmen due to the waves, she suggested a ferry trip to Cozumel for our first day and linked us with Sarah whom we befriended immediately. Sarah was awesome! She was organized, professional, calm and friendly as she lead our team of divers and instructed my son on his last check out dive for certification. We were able to make two dives on that first day and with visibility at 100+ feet we saw spectacular aquatic life including a moray eel out in full, a spotted sting ray, a sea turtle, so many different beautiful fish and corals. The entire time Sarah was checking on our comfort and helping both my son and I with our skills. The second day was still windy so both Sarah and Fernanda suggested that we try the cenotes which are exclusive to this area in Mexico. Knowing that I was less than confident in low visibility and close quarters, Sarah drove us to Casa Cenote the most open of the cenotes. This type of diving offered us an opportunity that I am forever thankful for. For our second dive that day Sarah packed up all of our gear (something she did with every dive which made my experience a breeze!) and drove us to Jardin de Eden centote where, by choice, I decided to snorkel while my son who was confident and capable by then enjoyed another spectacular dive. By the third day of diving my son went on his own with another dive master who was equally qualified and they did a two tank dive in more advanced centotes which my son took video of and cannot stop talking about! Six dives in three days, all thoroughly organized and orchestrated flawlessly; each amazing and diverse! The entire experience made for a trip of a lifetime for my son and I. I cannot thank Fernanda, Sarah and the entire Blue Life team enough for this experience. I recommend anyone traveling to this part of Mexico to book snorkeling or diving trips with this trustworthy group of professionals!

Very nice diving with the Blue Life team My wife and I fully enjoyed our Taste of the Riviera Maya dive package we purchased through Blue Life dive shop in Playa del Carmen. Our first dive was cancelled due to poor weather conditions at Cozumel, but Hugo our Divemaster was nice enough to take us to Cenote Dos Ojos for our cavern dive that day instead. We had two newer divers with us and I had some initial buoyancy issues, but Hugo was a great help. We thoroughly enjoyed the Bat Cave and the Barbie Line. Our second dive we made it out to Cozumel and had another couple of great dives to the Santa Rosa Wall and the Paradise Reef with Valentina where we some some beautiful reefs and a multitude of underwater sea life including a beautiful ray. Our last dives were off Playa del Carmen with Hugo and were just as fantastic as the ones off Cozumel! I would not hesitate to recommend Blue Life to anyone looking to have a safe and wonderful dive trip. The entire experience with Sarah helping through timely answered emails and Fernanda assisting with logistics once in town, it was very pleasurable and easy. When we come back to the Playa del Carmen area, we will definitely look up Blue Life! - Ken & Rebecca Rice

Spectacular Service, Excellent Diving I had the pleasure of diving with the great people at Blue Life and I couldn\'t be happier. While there\'s an abundance of dive operators in Playa I can\'t imagine that many can match the level of personalized care and attention that I experienced with Blue Life. The entire staff seemed fully engaged and mainly interested in my safety and ensuring the dives were tailored to my skill level and my interests. I did a six dive package. Each was unique and fun but the cenotes are by far the most unusual environment I\'ve been in to date. A surreal and incredible experience. But regardless of the location, the Blue Life team made sure that my needs were met. One of my dives even included lunch, a nice touch. At the end of the day, they rinsed and stored my gear so it was ready for the next day of diving. I am 100% satisfied with the service I received and I can recommend them to anyone looking for personalized service and diving with professionals who are interested in ensuring you have a good experience.

Best staff and service ever! This is the 2nd time I\'ve dived with Frank and Blue Life. This time for a movie production \"Cave\" where Frank, Sarah and Fernanda worked as local producers doing all of our logistics in terms of diving, cenotes license, accomodation and getting around. We received great help from Simon and Hugo as safety divers for our actors and they provided all their effort to help out on the shoot. Frank is very helpful and supervising as always, they made us feel safe and taken care of, on a personal level too. I highly recommend their level of expertise and the #1 place to go for cenote, cavern and cave diving on Yucatan. Great Dive Shop that caters to its customers After a less than pleasant experience with another dive shop, my girlfriend and I wandered into this one. Immediately they asked us what we wanted to see and created an itinerary for just that. We signed up to do a dive at Akumal in hopes of seeing some turtles, and then ending the day in a Cenote. The next morning we had 3 additional divers join us. We did our first dive, and while we did not see any turtles, our guide Hugo was awesome. We went to the cenote to finish while the other divers did another turtle dive. They say turtles, but the cenote dive was the coolest dive I have done to date. Utterly breathtaking. Hugo was again very professional and knowledgable.

Best staff, most accommodating to fit my vacation schedule. Friendly staff in a new store location. Excellent communication throughout. A week before my scheduled family vacation I emailed blue life based on trip advisor reviews. Fernanda put together a package that met my needs at a reasonable price. On the first planned diving day I was unavoidably detained and called to cancel that day. I did get a partial refund, although I wasn\'t expecting it. The next day I was paired up with Nate, visiting from Utah, and dove Dos Ojos Cenote with Hugo guiding us. Meanwhile my wife and daughter snorkeled the same cenote with Fernanda guiding them. The day finished off with a nice meal at a local restaurant. The next day we ferried over to Cozumel (ferry price included) and did 2 dives in Cozumel National Park. On the way over and back it was pouring rain with rough seas but the weather was perfect for diving with calm seas. I think Hugo had a connection to change the weather for our dives.... Overall it was an excellent experience, no negative comments at all. I will return next time I vacation in the Riviera Maya.

Cenote diving dream come true 2 thumbs up to Blue Life for organizing three days of cenote diving for my husband and I. Fernanda was quick at responding to email and most communication was done online. We booked 6 months in advance as we knew we were coming at high season. We did the Nitrox course online and got certified at Blue Life. We also got hotel pickups arranged which were always on time and direct to the cenotes. Wonderful service! Sarah and Hugo are excellent and knowledgeable dive masters. I had a lot of trouble with equalization and they were very patient with me. My husband and I are vegetarians and we were taken to a delicious taco stand each day for lunch. Authentic and delicious! We dove Dos Ojos, Calavera, Car Wash, The Pit and Taj Ma Ha. Notes for travelers: the bathrooms are Eco toilets with no toilet paper in most cases. The roads are very bumpy and through a jungle. Bring Gravol for weak tummies!

Excellent team in an incredible location... I was a solo traveller to Playa in Nov 15 staying at the Riu Yucatan, looking to move from being a just-trained Open Water Diver to being a Rescue Diver. Over the space of the two weeks, Sarah successfully took me through the Advanced Open Water, Nitrox, Emergency First Responder and Rescue Diver courses, making me a much better Diver along the way! As I hadn\'t dived since my Open Water almost a year previously, we started with some easier shallow dives (albeit on some rather rough seas... as it was my first ocean dive I quickly learn that little boats and rough seas make for a rather seasick diver!). It was a short 100m walk from the Shop to the boat pickup, although I still struggle to carry two tanks... The training aspects took place in various areas including the Playa Reefs, a nearby cenote for the confined aspects, and Akumal (with a rather large turtle being spotted resting on the reef!). The EFR course took place at the shop and was a useful exercise in preparing for if something goes wrong whilst on your Dives. The Rescue course was certainly different to the other course, with the focus being on both looking after yourself whilst Diving, being able to identify problems before they happen both with yourself and other divers, and being able to help when things go wrong. The most important part of these courses for me was that it was one-to-one throughout, giving the best chance of picking everything up and going over the more challenging aspects a couple of times. After completing the courses, I signed up to a three-day dive package including two dives at Dos Ojos (a Cenote close to Tulum), two dives over at Cozumel, and two dives on the Playa Reefs. The Dos Ojos dives led by Hugo, were incredible to see and thanks to those dives, I intend to return next year to undertake the Cavern diving course (not sure if Cave diving is really for me just yet!). a 10 minute drive from the main road through the jungle before finally entering the clearing and finding the caven entrance. The two dives took different routes with the first leading to the bat cave. The next two dives at Cozumel were the toughest, purely because of the need to be at the ferry port by 7.30am - the rest of the day was a breeze! Sarah met me at the port and we took the ferry over (about 45min and a pretty smooth ride - albeit with pretty cheesy adverts throughout). Upon arriving, we took a quick taxi over to the marina and were met by our boat for the day and the other divers. The Reefs at Cozumel are on a whole different level to those at Playa, with much larger formations and arches to swim under and around. A deep dive against the wall with the deep blue on one side and the coral formations on the other is a great experience! The final Dives were back on the Playa Reefs with Dive one being on the wreck! This was my first wreck dive and whilst the strong current made it a serious workout, it was a great wreck to see! Dive two... Throughout the trip I\'d been pestering Sarah because I wanted to see the Bull Sharks, however as my trip was quite early in the month, they hadn\'t yet arrived. As a last minute change of plan, for the final dive of my trip, we\'d be looking to see if they\'d arrived yet! Whilst most of the dive sites are quite far out, the sharks like to congregate surprisingly close to the hotel complexes... We descended down and waited a few minutes. At first, I thought we were going to be let down, but then shadows in the distance were spotted (and the Jaws theme started playing in my head). We stayed in a tight group as the 7/8 large Bull Sharks approached and started circling us. 30 minutes later it was time to ascend after a Dive experience that will stay with me forever! And most importantly, I kept all limbs. Sarah was an excellent instructor and somehow put up with all of my questions (seriously... a LOT of questions) throughout! I\'ll definitely be returning next year to Cavern dive, and hopefully look to start my Dive Master after that.

Tailored dive package with great service! Before our trip we corresponded with Courtney and Sarah, both of which were very helpful in creating a dive package that my boyfriend and I wished to do. The diving they recommended in Cozumel was great diving. Our dive guide, Hugo, showed us a great time and ensured our safety. The second day of diving in the cenotes with Hugo was an unbelievable experience for us. We did not have previous experience cavern diving, so Hugo gave us extensive safety briefings and lead us through 3 caverns. I highly recommend diving the cenotes, especially with Blue Life. Our dive group only consisted of myself and my boyfriend, so you can\'t ask for a better dive experience.

Became a better diver with Blue Life I recently spent an amazing week in PDC taking the TDI sidemount and cavern courses and cenote diving with Blue Life. The excellent staff (Frank and Hugo in particular) made the week both unbelievably enjoyable and highly educational. I have been diving with my partner for just over a year and half, and I love it! We booked this diving learncation with Blue Life because we wanted to find out more about diving in the beautiful cenotes of the Yucatan, and there is no higher-rated dive shop in the Mayan Riviera. Frank (the owner), responded to our emails promptly and made sure we were up to the challenge of the TDI sidemount and cavern diving courses. Blue Life also offers guided cavern tours of local cenotes, which don\'t require any extra training, but we wanted the opportunity to hone our diving skills with world-class instructors. I wasn\'t disappointed. As promised, the TDI sidemount and cavern courses were challenging, but rewarding. It took me quite a while to get used to the sidemount equipment configuration and diving position, but my instructor Hugo persistently worked with me until I could achieve the expected level of competence. My buoyancy, trim, and propulsion technique are all considerably improved! The cavern course taught me how to handle challenging diving scenarios and equipment failure in zero visibility situations. I have never been more challenged nor felt more rewarded! After completing the courses (which were taught on-site at the gorgeous cenote Jardin del Eden), my partner and I decided to take advantage of Blue Life\'s excellent service, and spent two more days diving with them in local cenotes. Despite torrential downpours, the diving was spectacular with unbelievable visibility at every location. Chikin-Ha was extraordinary, Dos Ojos was epic, and Tajma-Ha was majestic and serene...there is no way to choose a favourite among them. The week spent with Hugo and Frank at Blue Life has made me a considerably better diver, and although I saw many wonderful things, I have had only the slightest glimpse of the beautiful caves, caverns and cenotes of the Yucatan. As I write this review I am currently booking my next trip to PDC to take another course with Blue Life. The cenotes are calling!

5 star service My daughter and I were incredibly fortunate to visit Playa Del Carmen and dive with Hugo September 15-18th. We were treated like royalty as we dove the Playa reef, Cozumel and the epic Dos Ojos Cenote. The outfit they teamed up with on Cozumel Blue Magic Scuba had a fast little dive boat that flew by the others and put us on the spot first. If ever I wished I had a movie of a dive it was drifting the crystal clear waters of that spectacular wall. I spotted a lifetime giant lobster duo of at least 20 pounds each saw a huge nurse shark rolling in the sand and never ending schools of thousands of beautiful fish. Dos Ojos was a dive I also highly recommend although I did have a little trepidation to begin with and even though the jungle is hot and humid be sure and bring that 5 mil full suit because after 2 nice long dives in the ethereal gin clear waters I was a little chilly in just a shorty and hood. I am forever grateful that Hugo and Simon helped haul our gear down I don\'t think I could have done it other wise. To top it off we got our Nitrox cert thanks to Sarah and Hugo and all the other people I\'m sure are helping behind the scenes! Thanks again, we\'ll be back!

Wonderful Experience! My husband and I went to PDC in August and wanted to do some diving. We are beginner divers, and it has been 3 years since our last dive, so we needed special attention! We called Frank on a Sunday afternoon, told him our diving background, and arranged for a 2-tank afternoon dive the next day (Monday), and a 2-tank cenote dive the day after that (Tuesday). Then, we were contacted via email by Sarah, who gave us all of the details and arranged for a deposit to be taken, which we paid via paypal. Sarah also sent us a form, which we filled out and sent back with our diving background info (c-card #, experience, etc.) All of this was very efficient and I couldn\'t have been happier with the company\'s responsiveness. The next day (Monday), we arrived at the shop and were greeted by the gang, Sarah, Hugo, Raphael, and 2 others (sorry, I don\'t recall their names). We were quickly outfitted with rental equipment, which was in very good condition. In fact, I fell in love with the rental fins (Aqua Lung Hot Shots) and I\'m gonna get myself a pair! Since I had my own wetsuit, they reduced the price of the rental package, which I thought was very classy and fair. Hugo was our DM for the day. We hopped into his truck and he drove us to a dive shop near the beach. This was where we put on our gear. They have lockers at the shop and we were allowed to use them to put our things in, or we could just leave them in Hugo\'s truck. We then walked down the road to the beach with our gear on, where we would board the boat from the beach. For diving in PDC, there are no docks. Divers wade into the water from the beach and board the boats. I was concerned that I would be swept over by the currents but that didn\'t happen and it was actually quite easy to board the boat, plus, the workers on the boat were very helpful in helping you out! It started to rain but despite that, the 2 shallow dives were great. Since it was my first time diving in such a long time, I had some buoyancy troubles and some equalization issues, but I still enjoyed myself very much. We saw corals, eels, 2 turtles and a sting ray! And these were very shallow dives (20-40ft) and very close to shore. Hugo drove us back to our hotel. Thank you for a great day, Hugo! The next morning (Tuesday), Raphael came to pick us up at our hotel to take us cenote diving. On our drive over to Dos Ojos cenote, we stopped at a shop to pick up some fruits and sandwiches, which were to be our lunch between dives. We also picked up our tanks along the way. When we got to Dos Ojos, Raphael gave us a quick tour of the place, told us about the basic rules of cenote diving, how to signal with the light, and showed us how we were going to walk down to the cenote and how to enter the water, etc. As soon as I saw the steps going down, I told Raphael I was concerned that I would fall over carrying my gear because I had weak legs. I did fall on a previous occasion so my concern was valid. Without hesitating, Raphael said \"No problem, I\'ll just carry them down for you!\" Wow! What service! I really did appreciate that a lot! After gearing up, we all walked down to the opening of the cenote, and Raphael carried his double tanks, and my single tank ALL BY HIMSELF in an 8mm wetsuit with hood, in 30+ degree humid weather!!! All I could say was, WOW! We then geared up, hopped in and descended. We started going through the cavern, and was doing ok for a while, but my mask started to fog up, and when we got to a particularly dark place in the cavern, I freaked out and I signalled with my light that I needed to surface. He quickly reacted, signalled me if I wanted to go up, and I signalled him yes. He slowly but calmly held my hand and brought me up. At the surface, he asked me what was wrong. I told him my mask fogged up, it was dark, I couldn\'t see and got scared. He immediately gave me his mask and said, \"Wear these, they should be better.\" I took them, wore them and there was much less fogging and we continued through the cavern with no additional problems. After our first dive, we surfaced and had lunch. The second dive was even darker than the first, but I had no issues this time, since I was wearing Raphael\'s mask and he held my hand most of the dive! That was very comforting to me. We surfaced in the bat cave and it was just amazing! After the 2 dives, we had lunch at a local restaurant and chatted with Raphael quite a bit. It was really nice. Then he drove us back to our hotel. Cenote diving was a wonderful, wonderful experience and Raphael was amazing! I am so appreciative of his level of personal service. I would not hesitate to dive with Blue Life, Hugo, or Raphael when we\'re back in PDC again! In fact, I can\'t wait to go back!

The BEST Cave and Cavern Diving with Blue Life Diving!!!! We dove for 4 straight days and did the Taj Mahal, Angelita, Pit, Car Wash, Grand and Dos Ojos cenotes. Our divemaster, Hugo, was outstanding. He was a great diver and even better host. Blue Life Diving scheduled our whole week which included a day on a private boat drift diving in Cozumel. If you want a great week of diving look no further than Blue Life and their owner Frank Gutierrez. From start to finish we received the most amazing service and experience. I\'ve travelled all round the world and Blue Life truly delivers over and above. If you\'re looking for a fantastic professional service then this is the dive company for you.

Great Experience!! With over 100 dive operaters in Playa, it\'s tough to choose. However, I would definitely recommend Blue Life. I was staying in Playa for 2 months and wanted to get back into diving. It had been over 5 years since I last dived. I had contacted another competing outfit first, but their follow up was poor. In contrast, Sarah at Blue Life was fantastic about communicating and following up throughout the 3 dive outings I did with them (i.e. I did their 3 dive package .. Playa reef dive, Cozumel drift dive, and Cenote dive at Dos Ojos which is a great offering). I did a morning refresher at a training pool with Hugo and then an afternoon Playa reef dive. A couple of weeks later (Blue Life was great about being flexible about scheduling) I did a fantastic Cenote dive (my first) at Dos Ojos on Saturday, and then a spectacular drift cliff dive off Cozumel. For two of 3 dives, it was just Hugo and myself, and the dive off Cozumel was myself and 3 other divers. On all 3 days of diving Blue Life was courteous, on-time, great about communicating and following up, professional and made sure the outings were fun experiences. In addition to the 3 dives, I also go my Nitrox certification with Blue Life. I would have no problem recommending them to anyone (new divers or old) who want a great diving experience in the Playa del Carmen area.

Dos Ojos Cenote Dive Definitely recommend blue life. Hugo picked us up at the grand serenis as scheduled spent extra time with my 12 year old son who was just certified the week before to make sure he was comfortable before we dove. Very personal dive experience at a fair price I will definitely use again when in the area thanks a bunch to our dive master Hugo for an experience that my son and I will not forget. This is squared away dive outfit and we will use them again.

Excellent I chose blue life based on their reviews on trip advisor to do my open water and advanced open water qualification over five days and I wasn\'t disappointed. The whole service was great from Sarah organising my padi enrolment (and patiently responding to the multiple questions that a newby diver has) through to Hugo instructing me all week on the theory and practical. Firstly safety was paramount which gave me all the confidence I needed when faced with some of the more challenging adventure dives. The variety of diving was excellent from the cenotes to the beautiful reefs. The tuition was first class so I really feel that I have come away a competent diver in my own right. Lastly every one I met that was part of the team from the boat guys to the instructors were just easy to get on with fun people. I\'d absolutely recommend this company and if I\'m back diving in Playa del Carmen this will be my first call. Thanks guys for making it a great experience

First Cenotes\' Dive! A recent short trip to Mexico, gave us an opportunity for one day of cenotes diving. A magical landscape and experience made even better by the generosity and hospitality we were given by Blue Life. From the easy planning process via email with Frank all the way to our, out-of-the-way drop off to our hotel by Frenchie, our entire experience (my first of cavern diving) was amazing! Our guide Frenchie was down to earth and kept us comfortable and informed every step of the way. His love for diving was inspiring to say the least. Sad to have had only enough time for one day of diving, but the excursion left me wanting for more, and any trip in the future to the Playa del Carmen area, Blue Life will be hearing from me! An experience I will never forget, thank you again!

Phenomenal service. This the second time I\'ve had the opportunity to dive with Blue Life, the experience was just as exciting as the first. Frank was able to accomadate me and my misses with a wonderful day of cenotes diving. As before he fine tuned the dive itinerary specifically to our wants and desires. He even provided out of the way transportation to and from our hotel. And what else can I say Frenchie, Frenchie, Frenchie, an absolute gentleman and professional, it was pleasure having him as our guide. I can\'t wait for my next adventure with Blue Life.

Blue Life Diving is fantastic This was my first time diving in the Riviera Maya. I had narrowed down my search to two dive shops. I am so glad that I went with blue life. Frank and his entire staff are awesome. Sarah is fantastic at helping with arrangements. As soon as we were checked in Frank was calling the room to finalize arrangements. I dove dos ojos with Raphael the first day. I had a few minor problems which Frank and Raphael sorted out quickly and professionally and spent the rest of the afternoon in dos ojos. I cannot recommend Raphael highly enough. He is a fantastic cave diver from Montreal. Frank knew that we were busy diving and running late so he called my wife at the resort to let her know so she was not worrying. The Cozumel dives with Hugo were fantastic. Frank really takes care of you. I will definitely be back and look forward to more dives with Blue Life Diving.

Scuba Diving My wife and I started scuba diving with Blue Life in February 2015 and transitioned from the Discovery to the PADI Certification course which led to further dives in Two Eye Cenote and the Santa Rosa Wall off Cozumel. Being older (70 and 55) we took things slowly and carefully. No one could have been more attentive, patient or flexible than the Blue Life dive masters and scheduler. When the pool turned out to be too cold, they took us to Akumal for the remaining shallow water training. They made sure we were comfortable with the masks and equipment. All the while, it was just us and the dive master. Willian (Willie) introduced us to diving and, as the cenote specialist, took us to Two Eyes and one of the highlights of our month-long stay in Playa. Hugo shepherded us through the training dives and the demanding exercises required for certification, celebrating that achievement with us. Sarah adapted to our scheduling needs and even stopped by our apartment to drop off materials. They even set up our direct Playa-to-Cozumel boat trip to the famous and beautiful Wall where we made our last dive. Their local \"connections\" led to a spur-of-the-moment fishing expedition. Oh, and the price was comparable to companies that did not offer such personal training and diving. We would certainly choose them again for our next diving experience.

Another amazing Blue Life experience! My wife and I came to Tulum for our first anniversary and to get our Advanced Scuba Certification. Frank and Sarah are a pleasure to deal with. I can\'t say enough good things. We\'re looking forward to coming back!

Accomodating, Safe & Personalized Attention! Explore the Cenote! The staff at this dive operation were responsive, thorough and professional which made me comfortable booking our first Mexican dives through this shop. We arranged transportation through the shop and our instructors came to pick us up right on time at our hotel, which we appreciated. I recommend this if possible since it cost about the same as a taxi and had the added benefit of ensuring you are on time, arriving with the instructor. I rented my equipment, and I was happy with the condition of everything. I was impressed that they took the time to bundle my gear according to the measurements I submitted through the online form. The instructor arrived with everything neatly bundled. The gear was high quality and worked perfectly for me. Our first dive was open water. Our instructor Hugo was very present, ensuring we had what we needed and were comfortable. The crew on the boat helped with equipment and handed us fresh water when we surfaced. The open water reef in Playa Del Carmen was fine and we did see an octopus and some rays, but I wish I had spent the extra money and requested a dive to Cozumel, which I expect may have been a little more exciting or vibrant. Our second dive was at the Dos Ojos Cenote. Amazing! Because it is a bit of a drive (almost to Tulum) we spent a lot of time with Wiliam, who was an excellent host. The entire day was exceptional and just really brought our trip to the next level. The area surrounding Dos Ojos has a nice community built with a few small places to get lunch or buy small souvenirs. For a first time cenote dive, this worked out very well. Photos of this destination are nice, but the location is stunning in person. If we are able to return we would try to arrange another dive through this shop with Wiliam and explore the other cenotes. Overall, I highly recommend booking dives through this shop. I was on the fence about the caven initially, but if you are a comfortable diver go with the cenote dive, it was incredible!

Personal service Having a private dive master to show me about the cenotes of the Playa to Tulum area - well it doesn\'t come any better than that. My diving experience has been ocean and large Midwestern US lakes and while in Playa de Carmen I wanted a taste of the cenote and cave diving I\'d read about available there. My first contact was with Sara thru the Blue Life web site and she was very attentive and prompt with her information and encouragement, always availble by email and phone, William, my dive master, picked me up at my hotel and escorted me thru the day, just what I wanted but you can never expect. He was very knowledgeable and experienced and taught me a great deal about the mechanics of true cave diving along with my one day of cenote diving. As soon as time allows me a week to go back, I will be returning for the full cave training. The cenotes and caves are incredible and mysterious geological wonders to rival anything the ocean offers. Thanks to Blue Life for an amazing day.

Great dives I had the pleasure of diving with Blue Life, and divemaster Wilian, for 3 days while I was in Playa. I opted for the Maya Riviera package -- the first day we dove at Cenote Dos Ojos. It included 2 tanks in the cenote for about a 45-50 minute dive each. This is Wilian\'s specialty, caves and caverns (incl centoes), so it was good to have him as my guide. The cenotes were crystal clear with spectacular stalagmites and columns. Bats, too. The second day we crossed to Cozumel for 2 more excellent dives, the 2nd one at a wreck site. Only thing that could have made it better would be to take a dive shop boat straight from PdC. The third day was off the beach at Playa. Again, would have been better if Blue Life had their own boat, but the diving was good (not nearly as good as Cozumel), including finding 5 or 6 bull sharks at 80 feet, and a fish-heavy reef on the 2nd dive, and Wilian encouraged best performance from me. It was good to dive with a small operation, with a highly experienced -- and what turned out to be my personal -- divemaster (this is NOT guaranteed, but glad that was my experience!).

I am so thrilled with our diving experience two weeks ago, thanks to owner Frank Guiterrez! He went out of his way to contact me directly via phone to discuss all my questions for our dive trip(s). His advice about the area and the type of dives my husband and I should do, based upon our experience was spot-on. His choice of dive masters for our dives was perfect, too! If you want your dive experience to be stress free and the top of the class, you must check out Frank and his team! You will not be disappointed. It was our best family vacation ever, thanks to Frank!

LOVED my experience with MONICA I did my open water certification dive with Blue Life and I would highly recommend them. Frank was personable and helpful on the phone prior to my trip, as I was trying to sort out between way too many scuba centers options. He was giving me all sorts of helpful advice and it was clear I was not going to be just another client, but that I was going to get top of the line service and personal treatment. A great bonus for Blue Life is that they pick you up at your hotel to take you to the dives!!! So you don\'t have to find your way to the dive center and waste time and money on that. Monica, my instructor was absolutely phenomenal. I did my certification with her and by the end of day one, I already felt like I met a dear friend. She was knowledgable, personable, real and so fun to be with, she knows diving like the back of her hand, knows Playa like the back of her hand. I enjoyed every moment with her, from the skills work, the diving, the lunches we had. I even enjoyed doing the quizzes and going over the tests with her. We did a couple of extra dives in Cenotes together and I am still amazed by the experience. It was beautiful and magical. Definitely a stunning experience I will do again. I would HIGHLY recommend Blue Life and MONICA. I do not usually write reviews, but I was so confused prior to my trip with so many options, and I was so over-satisfied that I felt like I had to. When I am back in Playa I am diving with Monica at Blue Life again. I have no desire to dive with anyone else!

Recommended Dive Op!! These guys were a very good and most importantly safety conscious dive operation to dive with. I had looked into several operators around the area in regards to diving both Cozumel (while staying on the mainland) and diving a cenote. Our divemasters name was Guilermo, who I would recommend to anyone. Both my wife and I had an amazing experience in the Dos Ojos Cenotes and felt very comfortable diving with this company. For those that are interested, Guillermo was totally as per regulations in full cave rig and we followed the guidelines at all times. Although we did not personally meet Karla and Frank they were in regular contact via email and phone and provided excellent service. Frank is an instructor trainer for both TDI and PADI and Blue Life runs some serious technical diving / cavern / cave courses. But they use that same sensible, safe approach with their recreational clients. Contact them, you\'ll be happy you did. http://bluelife.com/

Personal Touch I contacted Frank before we left the UK about diving with Blue life after reading Tripadvisor reviews, his reply was prompt and informative and I contacted him again a couple of days after arriving in resort to organise my diving. Frank was in the USA but still took the trouble to phone me to say Willian would organise everything which he did. I would like to mention Monica for the confidence boosting dives, Pancho for possibly the most beautiful dives I have ever done and Willian for cenotes diving and my 1st exciting wreck dive and his total care. Pick up was always on time and their equipment is excellente! Being an older lady I was thinking that perhaps this would be my last year diving, but I had such a good time I cannot wait to dive again. Many thanks for a great experience guys.

Definitely one of the best dive places in Playa del Carmen. Frank, the owner took very good care of me, calling me from Mexico before my trip to get me a lot of information, made sure I knew what I should see, and was one of the best dive shop experiences I had. Even when I couldn\'t make the last day of my (planned) dive, Frank was prompt to refund the deposit when requested. I would highly recommend this shop!

Great experience with Bluelife team / Wilian our divemaster Spent the week diving with Wilian in the cenotes and the ocean - we had an absolute blast! Karla and Frank organised everything before arrival and kept checking on us throughout the week. They advised us on hotels before the trip and adapted our diving schedule when we caught the cenotes bug, culminating with the pit and dos ojos on our last day. Wilian is a great divemaster, taking us trough the nitrox course on day 2 then showing us his passion for exploration in the cenotes for the rest of the week.

Custom diving at its best I can tell you that Blue Life Diving\'s top spot on Trip Advisor has been well earned and deserved. My wife and I called a few dive operators for quotes and options on arrival in Playa. It was Blue Life Diving who\'s custom dive plan and attention to their customers needs won me over. Karla and Frank\'s attention to their customers is second to none. My wife got burnt on the day we went to Cozumel so wasn\'t feeling up to diving again in Cozumel the next day. Frank was so understanding and totally went out of his way to make last minute changes so we could dive two more cenotes vs. another long sunny trip on the Cozumel boat. Blue Life truly takes care of their customers and goes the extra mile to ensure that they are having a great time. In total we did ten dives with Blue Life. Also, their equipment is all top notch and well taken care of. Special thanks to William who helped me overcome my fear of cenote diving. (it was so good we dove four of them!) He practices super safe diving and is a great guide and an amazing person. We\'ll definitely we using Blue Life for all future diving trips on the Mayan Coast. They are the best!

Great company to dive with Blue Life was one of a few companies we tried while in Playa Del Carmen, and I wish we had tried them first. In a region heavy on profiteering, Blue Life\'s focus on Service and professionalism was refreshing and very appreciated. Amazing personalized experience - super accomodating My husband and I decided to purchase a Blue Life diving package on our recent trip to the Mayan Riviera. We are relatively new divers, and it was our first dive in 10 months. Karla and Frank were both super accommodating in helping us arrange a diverse schedule of dives for us which included: playa dives, conzumel and a variety of cenote dives. Also, due to personal circumstances and preferences, we ended up changing the dive days, and locations twice, which they did for us with no problems. All of our guides were great, but Willian in particular was AWESOME, he took us out in the cenotes, and my husband had a fear of confined space, but Willian was so safe and knowledgeable, he loved it - and we ended up going out again the last day on another cenote dive. Both Karla and Frank are very helpful, and great company. The next time we are back, we will definitely be diving with Blue Life, and highly recommend them to those looking for a great dive team.

Great Experience in the Cenotes I found Karla on a SCUBA diving forum and while asking fellow divers about diving in Playa del Carmen. Even though it was more than 3 months away, Karla was very helpful and put together a 2 day package for my daughter and I that included 2 tanks in the ocean at Moc Che and 2 tanks in Dos Ojos and The Pit cenotes the next day. When the time came, Frank picked us up the first day and we dove with Leo. Having dove the Great Barrier Reef, Hawaii and Cozumel, I wasn\'t expecting a lot on the Playa del Carmen side but Leo showed us a good time at Moc Che Deep and Shallow where we say eels, turtles, flounder and the ever invasive lionfish. We also saw something I\'d not seen before, an arrow head crab. The cenotes dives were our first times in the fresh water caverns so we were excited to try it. Having dove with Leo the previous day, he picked us up and drove us and a very nice young Australian couple to Dos Ojos and The Pit. Unlike the ocean diving, waiting until later in the day to dive a cenote is not a problem. It can actually be beneficial as the sun is more directly overhead and much more light is able to beam down on the water for those oh so dramatic pictures. We were all issued flashlights for the cenote dives and Leo set our gear up. Once in the water, wd did both the Bat Cave and Barbie lines. Next, we did The Pit and experienced our first halocline. Blue Life isn\'t the cheapest but they had great gear, great service and we weren\'t in with a bunch of novices that burn through an 80 in 20 minutes. Most of their regs had dive computers and our wet suits were so new we had to wear extra weights. I never felt we did anything dangerous or went beyond our limits. I would recommend them without hesitation.

DIVE WITH THEM! On June 27, 2014, and June 28, 2014, I did three and four dives respectively with Blue Life divers. My guide was Frank Gutierrez, one of the owners of Blue Life, and we dove The Pit, Taj Maha, Dreamgate, and Dos Ojos. From the beginning, Blue Life\'s service was excellent: Karla Perusquia, who runs Blue Life with Frank, was immediately responsive to my emails and super-helpful and charming. Whatever I asked, Karla answered. Frank is a fun, charming guide who is not only hard-working and helpful, but who also is just a blast to hang out with. This should show what I mean: I came down to Playa to dive the Cenotes and hit my 100th dive. I miscounted and thought I needed six dives to get there. Three dives per day. After the first day, I realized I\'d miscounted. I told Frank and Karla the next morning and Frank found a way to get me four dives on day two...and my hundredth dive. Thank you, Karla and Frank, for an awesome two days of diving. I\'d book you guys again in a heartbeat.

Excellent diving and customer service I planned a diving trip with BlueLife while in Playa del Carmen for my wedding. At first we thought we would take everyone that came down snorkeling. We ended up not doing this, but Karla from Blue life was AMAZING. She was extremely quick and thorough with emails and even offered to email each person in our wedding group for us. I think I may have emailed Karla more than my wedding coordinator. She was so great! In the end we still dove with BlueLife but with a smaller group at Dos Ojos cenote and also my husband and I dove in Cozumel. Both dives were great. Cave diving is decidedly not for me, but it was amazing and really unique. All the equipment and guides were top notch. We even had friends that wanted to dive with us last minute and BlueLife was very accommodating and even calling our friends in their hotel room to get everything together. It was a great experience with BlueLife. I would highly recommend them!

Mind Expanding Cenotes - Outstanding Operation in every possible way I\'ll start with communication and service. Outstanding all the way. Karla is absolutely first rate with this always on the ball with a quick and helpful reply. When you\'re trying to sort things out on a holiday at short notice this is massively important. I might also add that nothing was too much trouble. In our case this included finding us accommodation at a hefty discount, lending us laptops & iPads to complete PADI training, re-scheduling training at short notice and so on. On the diving side Frank & Pete are both superb. Both vastly qualified and experienced for the PADI Open Water and the small amount of Cavern Diving I did. On their off time these guys go exploring and charting caves that have literally never been dived before so truly live and breathe it and it really showed when you were around them. The caves/caverns/cenotes/xenotes themselves were a huge highlight for me. Literally mind expanding. Really didn\'t know what to expect but found them to be totally jaw dropping (The Pit, Dream Gate to name two). I might add that the last dive I did before diving here was Darwin\'s Arches out in Galapagos. Finally Karla and Frank are a really lovely friendly couple and make a great team. There are some great dive operations around there but it is very clear to me why these guys are number 1.

Very Knowledgeable & Professional The guides at Blue Live have amazing technical diving skills and are fun to spend surface time with, also. When I come back to the area, I look forward to using their services again. They\'re very friendly and professional. Their pricing is comparable, but the quality of service they provide makes the value very high!

Amazing dives, great personalized Service! I am an expireced diver who had always wanted to do a cenote dive. I was referred to Blue Life by a dive shop I used to dive with, I was very happy I contacted them for the dives. My guide Pete came to my Hotel in Tulum to pick me up. From the beginning I was impressed by his professionalism, and knowledge. I had around 250 dives, but zero in a Cenote, I was a little nervous about the dive. Pete really helped by giving me a thurough dive briefing, and helping with my equipment. Once in the water I had an amazing dive experience, it was like nothing I had seen before. I\'d like to give a big thanks to Pete for the great dives, and to Frank and Karla for getting it all set up. The next time I am diving in the Yucatan it will be with Blue Life!

Blue Life Nailed It We had a group of almost 20 people, some of us are divers, some of us snorkelers. Karla and Frank were able to accommodate us with ease! They are so nice and helpful, they really made the process of planning for a large group easy... which was great because it turns out planning for a large group is really hard! Would dive with them again in a heart beat, but next time, we\'re going for Cenote\'s!

Experience of a Lifetime! If you are already a diver and haven\'t experienced the Playa/Cozumel/Tulum area of Mexico, you need to do it soon. If you are not certified, but have been thinking about it, what are you waiting for!? We recently returned from our trip, and can\'t wait to get back to one of the best diving areas in the world!!! Blue Life made our experience even more memorable by providing first class service and professionalism. Both Frank and Karla are English speaking, as well as our DM Pete, which made arrangements that much easier. Pete was exceptional in his services as well. He was a wealth of information, and showed much skill and concern for everyone\'s happiness and safety. Both me and my wife highly recommend Blue Life if you are looking to add to your diving bucket list, or to get the proper training in a world class environment.

Great Diving Experience Pete did a great job training my husband and I in the open water diving course. He was very patient with us as we were learning the basics of diving. It was an unforgettable experience (especially diving in Dos Ojos) and we will probably be back in October to do the Advanced Open Water Diving course.

Snorkelling in Dos Ojos Cenote - Stunning! Having just passed my PADI Open Water, cavern diving in Dos Ojos was out of my league. Frank, who was recommended to me by another Dive Instructor, was more than willing arrange a guided snorkel session in the cenote as a teaser for what I would see when I have a few more dives under my belt. He didn\'t try to pressure me into the dull dive. Both Frank and Karla quickly respond to emails, they are happy to be adaptable, arranged a pickup from the hotel I was staying at and do their very best to ensure that everybody has a fantastic experience with them and at their dive sites, even following up with emails afterwards. I\'ll definitely be going back to do the full dive with Blue Live!

Spectacular Adventure! From the first email inquiry to Karla the end of our last dive with DM Peter, everything was perfect! All emails were responded to promptly and were very professional. There was even a follow up email to make sure that we had a blast! And we did! I booked this tour for myself and my parents. It was a private tour first to Akumal where Peter efficiently and thoroughly took us through a refresher course. After a beautiful open water dive, we had lunch which was described as \"light\" on our itinerary, but for me, was very satisfying and filling. We then proceeded to the Cavern dive inside of Dos Ojos Cenote where we visited the bat cave. It was my first time ever being inside of a Cavern, (My parents 2nd time) and we all loved the experience. Visibility was excellent, Peter was kind, patient and obviously passionate about his work. I would highly recommend this group to anyone who wishes to have an intimate, safe and fun dive experience in the Riviera Maya.

The best operator in the area! We dived with Blue Life back in December and they were absolutely amazing! We did lots of research before coming to Mexico as there are thousands of dive operators available in the area and from other reviews we decided to do our Cenote dives with Blue Life. They are honestly the best operator in the area (we tried two other companies). Frank runs a fantastic operation, all of his equipment top notch, safety is incredibly important, and their communication was fantastic! Thanks Natalie and Tristan

Cenote diving - a great experience! A friend recommended Frank at Blue Life when I mentioned I wanted to dive a cenote for my first time on my upcoming trip to Akumal. He sent Frank an email and with my information and Frank got in contact right away. He was helpful and informative and organised for Pete to take my friend and I the following day. Pete picked us up, on time, from our hotel in Akumal and drove us to Dos Ojos. He was knowledgeable, friendly, thorough in his briefing and in regards to safety. I had an amazing afternoon and would recommend Blue Life without hesitation. Pete even kindly drove us back to Playa del Carmen afterwards as it was easier for us to get home. Many thanks Frank and Pete.

Top Rate Diving Came out to Playa this past week. We had scheduled many dives to be done throughout the week. Blue Life was very organized. We dove with Samantha in Cozumel on the \"wall\". She was very sweet and helpful. Peter dove with us for the rest of our dives. English speaking always a plus. Super outgoing and fun to dive with. Peter picked us up from our hotel and drove us out to the dive boat for the salt dives, and for the Cenotes...picked us up and did the thirty minute drive with us. Willing to hold your hand if you need it, but for a seasoned diver you will feel like he is your friend. Had a fabulous time. Thank you Frank, Karla, Peter and Sam. We will definitely be back and use you again.

EXCELLENT, KNOWLEDGEABLE, ENJOYABLE We used Blue Life diving to do a private dive. Our family was of 3 people and we were sent a dive master \"PETE\" who was outstanding! Pete was from the UK so his English was perfect and very clear. Pete was extremely thorough and very knowledgeable. Pete also takes his job, and dive safety very seriously. We took a refresher course prior to our Akumal Dive and Cavern dive and I was very sure, we would be in good hands with Pete. I would strongly recommend this dive shop to anyone who wants to dive here in Mexico and needs an English speaking dive master. Very professional and worth every penny. We would opt to use Blue Life Diving again!

Discover Scuba course and Refresher/ Fun Dives We dove with Blue Life as 3 first time divers and an out of water DMT. Frank insured to schedule dive locations that would interest all of us, despite the vast array of skill levels. Absolutely one of the best dive operations I have been with, very through and professional. Pete was a great instructor as well, the new divers were in great hands. Will be back, and highly recommend

Unforgettable scenery with reliable tuition To experience the underwater world in the \"sink holes\" of Mexican jungle is a very exotic and cultural way of diving, its like nothing else! We chose Blue Life diving because of Frank\'s reputation in the diving society and by recommendation from his previous students. Our courses gave us new in-depth view of how to dive caverns with sidemount and we appreciated the high level of professionalism. We will for sure come back to dive the cenotes again, that tells a lot about our diving experience with Blue Life.

Blue Life Cenote and Reef Diving with Pete Tovey Outstanding experience. I just got back into diving after a 20 year hiatus so i was naturally nervous. I signed up for the Adventure package. one day of reef diving and one day in cenotes. I think they were probably a little heavily booked or i booked late so Frank asked Pete Tovey to take care of me. I understand Pete is a independent contractor for Blue Life (and a few other dive shops). Pete picked me up promptly at my hotel, gave me a great briefing and we got diving at Akumal. Very nice but not spectacular reefs. he had a great understanding of my concerns and limitations. I felt safe and secure. On day 2, we went off to the cenotes. Cenote Dos Ojos is the largest cenote in mexico as i understand it. Pete specializes in cave/cavern diving and he was especially outstanding here. again, a great briefing with a detailed analysis of potential (general) hazards and safety protocols. No unplanned deviations from the dive route and strict adherence to safety protocols. I felt very safe and secure throughout the experience...which by the way was absolutely mind-blowing. One of the most sublimely beautiful things you\'ll ever see. An absolute must see! It was crowded but that was OK for a first time dive. seeing others around was very reassuring. Anyway, outstanding experience and great professional service. I should mention, i had arranged for my kids to go to the cenote for snorkeling with us but had to cancel due to a bad case of Montezuma\'s Revenge with kids. No problems canceling even 24 hours in advance. This is a very professional and ethical operation. I\'m so impressed that i\'ll probably arrange for my uncertified kids and cousins to come down to to train and get their open water certification. Highly, highly recommended.

Best time ever!!! I just got my PADI Open Water Certification through Frank from Blue Life, and I can\'t say enough good things about my experience ... I even got a Deep Water Adventure dive all thanks to Blue Life. Every aspect of my dive trip was taken care of perfectly--transportation to and from dive sites, equipment, and the best dive sites the area has to offer. Frank and Karla provide impeccable service and top professional divers as guides and instructors. Whether you\'re looking to get OW certified, Advanced OW, full cave, tech diving. Aside from certifications; if you\'re just looking for some great diving (the Cenotes, great wreck and reef dives) I, personally, can see no reason why anyone would choose any other shop than Blue Life. I can\'t thank them enough for facilitating my entry into diving ... it was an absolute pleasure to work and dive with them. I\'m already planning my next dive trip and I will certainly go with Blue Life. So, thank you to Frank, Karla and Pete ... I look forward to diving with you again!

Amazing experience This was my first cave dive and I can truly say that I enjoyed every minute of it. We dove in Cenote Dos Ojos, a true piece of heaven! Our instructor, Pete was pprofessional, fun and very accommodating. (patient would be a better word lol) He has more than 10 years of diving experience, all over the world, which made me feel very safe and allowed me to fully enjoy the sights. The equipment we used was in great condition and the complimentary lunch, delicious. All in all, I\'m happy that I chose Blue life and warmly recommend it!

Excellent... Professional & fun. Great diving, great people, great experience. Cristobal could not have been more helpful. He is an exceptional guide and created a schedule for the dive sites that we wanted to see. With his expert advice we enjoyed a fantastic diverse range of cenote dives. From being picked up in the morning from our hotel, throughout the dives, to being returned home; the day could not have been better ran. Fantastic small groups allowed us to enjoy the cenotes without the hassle of larger (multiple guide) tours. Blue life\'s professionalism made me feel exceptionally comfortable despite not cavern diving before. If I could give them a higher score (than 100%) I would.... Amazing.

Cavern diving with blue life- amazing I did 4 dives with omer last week, our guide was cris. First of all, as omer said- the caverns were amazing, very different from normal ocean diving, one of the \"musts\" in the diving world.. Something you have never seen before. The ocean dives were asa beautiful as always. Second, all the management of frank and cris made the experience very pleasant- from the beginning with all the info we got about the dives, thru the preperations and what should we expect in the dives, and to the dives itself- cris did a great job, i enjoyed it very much. Very comfortable- great guide and a great guy in general. Continue with your good work!

AMAZING experience!!! After i got recommendations on FB and on TA i decided contact Frank, He gave me all the information I needed about diving around Playa Del Carmen. If you are looking for someone who knows about dive sites in the area especially Cenotes sites. I dove with Cris. Besides of being a great guy, he gave us a lot of info about the area and the dive sites we were about to dive and let us feel very relaxed and secure. First we dove in \"The Pit\" a deep cenote with crystal blue waters and la_res of sea water and sulfur which was mind blowing and a very cool, beside the stalagmites that you see there, no doubt an experience very different from the \"normal\" ocean dives. the second site was \"The Bat Cave\", not as deep as the first cenote but with very beautiful stalagmites and good training for your buoyancy skills. I also dove 2 ocean dives with Cris, and it really felt that he was diving with me and not for me.. In conclusion, I highly recommend diving with Blue Life if you are looking to dive in PDC and the area, small groups and great guides.
