Situated right in front of the pier at the hotel Porto Real, Jardines received its name because of the garden-like coral formations that are full of crustaceans. If you are just planning on doing a few dives, this should be one of them as it can give you a great idea of all of the life you can find in Mexican Caribbean. There are all types of little fish, as well as sea turtles and even Bull sharks in the winter season. You can spend between 45 minutes to an hour on your dive along the 350m reef barrier. There are several caverns and rock formations that are perfect for Moray eels, lobsters and many other species to hide. At the end of the site there is a little alley that normally has several Spotted moray and a few variety of sea urchins. Jardines is perfect for night dives as well as training dives.
