Want to refresh your dive skills? Blue Life can do it! If you already have a Diving Certification but it has been a while since your last dive, the Dive Refresher Course is a perfect program for you. We ask that all of our divers participate in this program if they have less than 8 total dives with more than 6 months out of the water, or divers with less than 50 dives that have not been diving for a year or longer. It just takes a few hours, and we can guarantee you’ll be happy you did it!
The program will review many of the things you learned in your Open Water Diver Course to ensure that you feel safe and comfortable again. We will cover equipment setup, mask and regulator clearing, emergency procedures, and good buoyancy techniques to get you back on track. Additional, we are happy to go over any specific theory or in-water skills that you would like to work on, just let us know!
Your refresher can be completed the morning before your afternoon local reef dives in Playa del Carmen or Tulum, the day prior to any Cozumel trip, or on-site for cenote dives, site depending. The program will be conducted in a pool or a shallow, open water section of a cenote.
After your refresher, if you wish to continue your diving education we suggest enrolling in the Advanced Open Water Diver Course. Just in 2 days, you will learn about, equipment, basic dive theory (that you can do online) and choose 3 electives.

I did a Skill Refresh, PADI Advanced Open Water, SDI Enriched Air Nitrox, and Los Cenotes. Blue Life is safe, thorough, flexible, knowledgeable, and extraordinarily friendly. I obsessed over finding the perfect dive shop and Blue Life is it. Most of my dives were 1:1 but never more than 2:1. Another great experience with Blue Life! I have been diving with the Blue Life since the fall of 2015. I received my open water certification through Blue Life. I recently referred my friend to finish his open water with them, and he had a great experience with Vale as the dive master. In preparation for a group dive, myself and a friend did a refresher course with Vale. She is knowledgeable and has a great attitude. Hugo also was very accommodating to me and dropped me off at the bus station after the day was wrapped up. Andrea was excellent in her prompt communication and responses to my emails. It takes much planning and she was very professional. I will be back again, and so will my friends.

Riviera Maya Scuba and Discover Scuba with Teenagers Bottom Line first: Blue Life is Excellent (really!) and instructor Valentina (Vale) is amazing, talented, qualified, and a pleasure to spend time with. Details: 2nd weekend in January, family of four - parents certified (but haven\'t been diving in 15 years) and teenage sons (18 and 15) never-ever. Due to time constraints we enrolled the boys in the Discover Scuba Diving course with uncertain expectations. For a reasonable price the Blue Life manager (Frank, also great) let us \"observe\" the boys\' course as a refresher. Valentina (can I say again how fantastic she is?) connected with all of us, coached the boys through scuba fundamentals on land then in a cenote. I recall with smile her saying \"Ok, let\'s have fun and dive!\" after she felt the boys were confident and we did a cool loop around the cenote. Planned afternoon reef dive was called off due to wind conditions, but Blue Life (again Frank!) arranged for a two tank reef dive the next morning with the kids. Seriously - if you are looking for a dive shop in Riviera Maya, choose Blue Life. Completely 100% satisfied with the experience. Location is off the north end of Quinta Avenida in Playa del Carmen, towards the beach. Do yourself a favor... call Frank at Blue Life and get underwater!

Very good dive trip with excellent crew My son and I went diving on Jan. 2 with Blue Life out of Playa del Carmen. We had not been diving in 10 years and Frank set us up with Laszlo to assist us, He was very helpful and did a very good job covering everything in our refresher course. He made our dive experience very relaxing and enjoyable with no worries. Would definitely go again. Thanks to Laszlo and Frank at Blue Life. Bernie from Illinois

Awesome experience Last year, my wife and I visited Riviera Maya. While we were there, we really wanted go for diving. Since Blue Life had superb reviews, I contacted and Fernanda helped me with arrangement. While were there, I decided to get my open water certificate, and while doing so my wife took the refresher course. Hugo took care of my wife and I as he was superb instructor with patience. He was also able to give us a shuttle service to rather far hotel that we were staying. We ended up going two ocean dives and one cenote dive. We were planned for three ocean dives, but due to severe weather, after waiting out a day Blue Life suggested and took us to a Cenote diving next day. Whole experience was superb and will definitely recommend to everyone. I know I am leaving a super late review as I was too busy with life. Me and my wife is planning to visit Riviera Maya next month and remembered that I forgot to post a promised review. If I can I will definitely contact Blue Life again. Only happy memories.

Excellent Experience, Patient Instruction I found Blue Life through Trip Advisor and the great reviews; I was not disappointed. I spent a couple days diving with Fernanda, and she was great. I hadn\'t been diving in a couple of years, but it took her no time to gauge my level, and provide me with additional tips to polish the rusty edges of my diving skills. I also had the opportunity to dive with Hugo for a Sidemount Certification. Sidemount is very different and learning new skills that are somewhat contrary to single tank skills can be daunting. I really sucked the first day, but Hugo was so patient and reassuring that I actually figured it out on the 2nd day and even enjoyed the drills! Both did so much to make my dive vacation the best it could be; from going out of their way arranging transportation to helping me find the best food stores and restaurants. Be sure to have Hugo take you to that dive taco place outside of Puerto Aventuras, that\'s what real Mexican food is like! Unfortunately, I got sick on this trip and ended up going home early. But I\'ve already booked my travel for the Thanksgiving holiday, and my dive trips with Blue Life. The diving is that good, and so are they.

Awesome Cozumel Diving! Nothing but great things to say about Blue Life Diving! My guide, Mathias, was outstanding and made the day so much fun! It had been almost 3 years since my last dive so I needed a lot of refreshing, which he was more than happy to do. A few minutes into the first dive, my nerves wore off and it was like I never stopped. We did two dives together in Cozumel and saw turtles, small sharks, rays, all kinds of beautiful sea life. Absolutely gorgeous and the water is so clear and beautiful. I felt very comfortable and safe the entire time with Mathias. It was really great to chat and get to know him better over the course of the day! Really awesome guy. I would love to come back to Playa del Carmen to do more diving with Mathias :) The cenotes are supposed to be some really cool dives as well. I booked last minute the day before and Blue Life was very organized and responsive. I never had to think twice about my safety or the logistics which was such a relief on vacation. They gave me the option to take a boat straight to the dive site in Cozumel (from Playa) or to take the ferry over, which I opted to do as I wanted meet the rest of my family in Cozumel. Overall fantastic experience with Mathias and Blue Life Diving!!

Great diving experience and amazing team at Blue Life! Diving with Blue Life was fantastic. They are not only professional, but also friendly. Sophia gave me the refreshing course, and she made me feel completely ready for my dives. She paid attention to all my doubts and worked with me until I felt ready. Sarah was in charge of our dives (in Akumal and cenote). She explained how the dive would go and always made us feel at ease. They definitely made my diving experience great. My only regret is that I did not dive with them more times.

Fantastic experience! I would give six stars if possible- the team at Blue Life Diving is wonderful! I decided to get my PADI Open Water Certificate a week before my trip with my boyfriend to Playa Del Carmen. He was already certified and we couldn\'t miss the opportunity to dive in one of the world\'s best dive destinations. After reading the great reviews about Blue Life and given the dive shop was close to where we stayed, I booked with them. Fernanda was wonderful helping me sign-up for the course and scheduling the dives with an instructor. She was very accommodating with my vacation schedule. She was so friendly and kind! My instructor Valentina was beyond amazing. It was just her and me for the two day instruction; the private instruction was great! My boyfriend joined me on the confined water dives in the pool on the first day for a refresher course and Valentina worked with us both. He was also able to join for the open water dives. It was great to have him able to join, especially since diving was new for me and we were on vacation together. One thing I really appreciated about Valentina was she taught skills by the book. You could tell it was important she do everything right and that integrity was important to her. She continued this style of instruction during the open water dives. For example, on a boat with other divers and instructors, it was just me and my boyfriend with Valentina and she always had us do our buddy checks before getting in the water. I never heard other divers doing a buddy check on either two days. She also had me fill out my log book after each day and signed and stamped it. I really liked her commitment to the profession of scuba diving. Above all, Valentina was warm, friendly and patient. She was calm and collected which helped me feel less nervous and anxious. The two day instruction was a steep learning curve but Valentina helped me so much that by my third and fourth dive, I loved every minute! I\'m in love with scuba diving now and I credit Valentina for creating such an amazing experience and helping feel prepared and confident to dive. I can\'t thank Valentina, Fernanda and the Blue Life Diving team enough for such a memorable experience! I\'ve fallen in love with diving thanks to them! My only regret is that I didn\'t schedule more dives with them. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back and do more dives in Cozumel and the Cenotes with Blue Life.

Awesome diving with a fabulous and friendly company. Diving in Mexico was all I expected and so much more. Being my first time in Mexico I sought the advice of fellow divers through Trip Advisor and I\'m so glad I did! Blue Life Diving were outstanding, Frank was easy to contact via email which avoided confusing calls and charges, his team were a delight, their English was excellent as opposed to my non existent Spanish! They made me feel very welcome and were helpful and supportive after seven years away from diving. The hire equipment was great and the staff\'s guidance before, during and after each dive was faultless. Lastly, Cozumel is a MUST and Blue Life are the perfect people to get you there.. And back!!

Blue Life is the best! We recently returned from a trip to Akumal and chose to dive with Blue Life after extensive research into reputable dive operations. I did my Open Water Diver certification and my wife did a refresher course. We also did a couple of days of guided diving afterwards. Frank and Karla are very professional and their communication is top notch. Our instructor and guide was Pete and he was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely book with Blue Life again if we are ever back in the area.

Spectacular Adventure! From the first email inquiry to Karla the end of our last dive with DM Peter, everything was perfect! All emails were responded to promptly and were very professional. There was even a follow up email to make sure that we had a blast! And we did! I booked this tour for myself and my parents. It was a private tour first to Akumal where Peter efficiently and thoroughly took us through a refresher course. After a beautiful open water dive, we had lunch which was described as \"light\" on our itinerary, but for me, was very satisfying and filling. We then proceeded to the Cavern dive inside of Dos Ojos Cenote where we visited the bat cave. It was my first time ever being inside of a Cavern, (My parents 2nd time) and we all loved the experience. Visibility was excellent, Peter was kind, patient and obviously passionate about his work. I would highly recommend this group to anyone who wishes to have an intimate, safe and fun dive experience in the Riviera Maya.

Refresher After a couple of years of not diving, I decided to get back into it. Frank was in town (Miami), so I decided to do it last weekend. He is great instructor, giving me all the confidence I had lost over the years. I would recommend him and Blue Life to anyone interested in diving, from open water to technical diving.

EXCELLENT, KNOWLEDGEABLE, ENJOYABLE We used Blue Life diving to do a private dive. Our family was of 3 people and we were sent a dive master \"PETE\" who was outstanding! Pete was from the UK so his English was perfect and very clear. Pete was extremely thorough and very knowledgeable. Pete also takes his job, and dive safety very seriously. We took a refresher course prior to our Akumal Dive and Cavern dive and I was very sure, we would be in good hands with Pete. I would strongly recommend this dive shop to anyone who wants to dive here in Mexico and needs an English speaking dive master. Very professional and worth every penny. We would opt to use Blue Life Diving again!
